Two questions here.

One: Do any of the companies require any kind of deposit when you make a reservation, and if so, how much?

Two: Is it worth it for just two people. There may be just two ladies on the trip in November, and I am exploring my options.

Thanx

Jules

No deposit needed at the time of reservation for the towncar companies (at least with Your Ride and Tiffany). You pay full at the time the driver lets you off at your hotel.

We have done 2 people in a towncar (2 times) and its more convinence then price. We will be doing it again in January but only for a one way due we are going on a cruise.

If you are only considering $$, then the Mears shuttle is the least expensive option.

If you are also considering time, convenience (driver meets you at baggage claim and most will help with luggage), that wonderful feeling that you are a VIP, and IMHO, safety (women traveling alone) then the towncar services win without question. Don't forget that most towncar services will stop for 30 minutes at a grocery for no extra charge. That surely helps save on expensive snacks and drinks.

Can you tell that I'm a towncar fan? LOL!

With Happy Limo, they just ask for your charge card number when you make the reservation. They send you back an email to confirm all of the pertinent information. There are only two of us (hubby and me), and we used to do Mears when we didn't know about towncar services. Now we wouldn't do it any other way! The convenience is well worth it.

With YourRide, I booked in advance from home but did not pay until Jim dropped us of at the resort. (then you pay the full price.)
The only downside was make sure you have cash, as he didn't accept cc. Luckily we had the cash on us. We even offered to pay in Disney Dollars, which gave Jim a chuckle. ;)
YourRide's web site also has a $5 coupon.

I'm very surprised that the driver did not accept credit cards. Most of the towncar services do accept credit cards, so if YourRide doesn't, we will have to make another choice for our upcoming trip. I do not care to carry that much cash while traveling.
