We are on the dining plan so...

I have heard people talk of how yummy the filet of beef was but when I look on the menu I only see grilled beef tenderloin :confused3 Tenderloin is not the same as filet is it?

Also, are the milkshakes included as a drink on the DDP?

Thanks so much!

Yes, the milkshakes or smoothies were included as our beverage with the dining plan last year.
They had the tenderloin filet on the menu last year.We dined on the Monday and it was on the menu. However they changed the menu the next day and the filet ( tenderloin) and the flank steak were no longer on the menu.
Unfortunately, you do not know what will or will not be on the menu as they change the menu at whim.
We checked out all the menus prior to making ADRs last year and several restaurants had changed the menus when we arrived.
Everything is delicious and it is one of our favorite restaurants.

So basically the menu changes "whenever?" Hmmm, have to think about that:confused3

When we ate there last Sept. our waitress informed us that "the tenderloin today is the fillet", which leads me to believe that the menu really changes according to what they have that week. And it was melt in your mouth good!

While printing "fish of the day", or as the Wave puts it "today's sustainable fish" is common on lots of menus, I think listing "beef of the day" might not sit well with most patrons in what is billed as a mid/upscale dining location. Sort of sounds like the mystery meat you had in high school. I do wish they'd be more specific and not just call it tenderloin.

...if the menu says "Filet of Beef", it can be any cut of the cow. If the menu says "Filet Mignon" or "Beef Tenderloin Filet" it must be cut strictly from the tenderloin of the cow.

Ask your server what cut is used for the "Filet of Beef" because they may be passing off a cheaper cut because most people think filet automatically means tenderloin. It may be tenderloin, but because of the wording I would bet it is not!!

Hope this helps.
