Without cutting anything else that we have planned (ie food...souvenirs...etc) here are two possible scenarios for a family of 4 (DD #1 will turn 5 on the trip and DD #2 will be about 20months):

#1) Spend Sunday night at the HoJo (coming in late from San Diego and 1 night here is cheaper than the FF) and Mon-Fri nights at the Fairfield Inn (due to a package deal that gives a night free and can make sure we have 2Q's)

or spend approx 400$ more after the 150$ check in deal and

#2) Stay Sun and Mon at Hojo and the rest of the time at the DLH. This trip is in April so the DLH pool does have appeal for us.

Any thoughts??????

Wow, you sound just like me; I can't decide if we should spend part or all of our trip at DLH or at HoJo's or some other hotel. With the ages of your kids, if you can afford to I think you should include the DLH in your trip. The atmosphere and pool will be fun and I believe there is still a sandy beach area where the kids can play. Some of the rooms have 2 queen beds as well as a day bed so there should be plenty of room for your family. My problem is that we have 4 adults and one teen and I think we will be crowded if we don't get a suite or 2 motel rooms, but I am still considering spending at least 2 or 3 nights at DLH. :earsgirl:

I vote for option 2. The original Disneyland Hotel is wonderful. Also I wasn't crazy about the Fairfield Inn when I stayed there a few years ago. The mattresses were really soft. It felt like they had no springs in them, only foam.

My wife would love the soft mattresses and I would hate them so who knows how that would work out. I guess I am just wondering if it is worth 400$ extra to stay at the DLH.
