I would like to title this installment of our little voyage Because I like it gosh darn it!
So, in my absence from my pre-trippie, I have managed to make several Disney purchases, which you will soon be privy to. Some are more exciting than others, but all very exciting nonetheless. Oh, and for anyone keeping track- which of course I assume is everyone- one month from today I will be in Epcot!! But since I know that you have all printed out, laminated, and hung on your refrigerator, my itinerary from a few posts back, this shouldnt come as news to anyone.
Well, let me begin with no real Disney update whatsoever. Well, not really directly related to Disney anyway. Yesterday my mom and I had the astute pleasure of visiting Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. It was a loverly day outside, and HalloScream

was going on so it was like a pre-
MNSSHP if you will- albeit a little bit scarier. As I have mentioned before my parents were divorced before my dad passed away earlier this year, and my mom is seeing someone which I guess I am generally happy about. He is eh, ok, I suppose. He can be totally wonderful, and then sometimes less than totally wonderful. Anyway, we got to go to the Gardens of Busch yesterday because it was his company day there. Im not about to turn down FREE tickets, even if it pales sorely in comparison to the World. Little did I know however, there was a price to be paid!! I was fortunate enough to spend the entire day with him, his 2 grandchildren (ages 11 and 16) and his daughter (who is cool, by the way). Yeah, it was a regular dysfunctional family touring disaster. Ok, disaster is a bit harsh. In fact, it wasnt bad- if you consider literally crisscrossing the park in no particular planned path, half a dozen times, not bad. As a Dis planner myself, I wanted to roll some heads! Couple the disorganization with the 11 year old boy who was literally scared of EVERYTHING, the 16 year old girl who sent well over 50 text messages in 7 hours, and you get one unhappy Diser. I tell you of this grand adventure only so that I can sneak in a couple of pics that I took. You see, for as bad as some parts of the day were, I was able to get some good practice with my new camera for my upcoming, more important, vacation. I shot 252 pics to be exact. Picture taking and hanging with my mom were my only intents for the day. So, I present to you my mom and I with Jack, the pumpkin man, and some pirates, because who doesnt love some pirates?!
Oh, and speaking of pirates, my mom made me so proud during the Pirates 4D adventure that we saw when we first arrived at the Gardens of Busch. So, we are watching this 4D thing, getting way more wet by the effects than is really necessary, and my mom turns to me and says I guess they are trying to copy Disney on this show. They arent doing a very good job. God bless her, the woman is a saint. Yup, just one more reason to love my mother- as if we all didnt already.
Oh, and the crowning glory on the whole day, was by far a conversation my moms boyfriend or whatever (boyfriend just sounds weird to me when talking about my mom, sorry) says to me in one of the lines, why dont you and your mom go to Vegas instead of Disney? Um, because I dont want to- obviously. Twenty minutes later, he is still trying to convince me that I am making a bad decision and I would love Vegas so much more. Um, no, sorry, I know Ive never been, but me thinks not buckaroo. I know everyone can relate with me when I say, I am going to Disney BECAUSE I LIKE IT GOSH DARN IT.

Hmph, take that. And this from someone who has never been to the World for longer than an afternoon. Ok, sorry, had to get that off my chest.
Golly, after that day, and that conversation, I thankfully had Mr. Rosemount and his Snickery friend to come home to.
Give this girl a glass of red wine and some chocolate and no one gets hurt
Ok, on to more Disney related items.
Oh golly, where to begin. Lets begin with the biggest item of note. By biggest I dont mean most exciting, I literally mean the biggest, largest, takes up the most size, new purchase. Before I present it I will admit- I have a Croc problem. By problem I mean, I heart

them a lot. I have few pairs, and if I could wear them every day I would. I was reading another Disers pre-trippie and she described
Crocs and jibbits as smiles for your feet. I have never seen them described so appropriately! So, I present to you, the latest addition to my little Croc family: The Grape Beach. Arent they great?! I think they will get along so well with the Peacock Mary Janes, the Chocolate Mary Janes, and the Blue Beach members.
I had been wanting the Grape ones for a while but I couldnt find them in stores. Well, Dillards finally came though and saved me from paying unnecessary shipping charges. Now I just need to get these suckers broken in and I will be set. Oh, and by the way, I couldnt really find any shirts to match my new grape footsies, so I ordered a shirt from the
Disney Store (Clearance of course) just to showcase the new Crocs. When it comes in I will show you the whole ensemble- of course.
Well, as beautiful as my new Crocs were, I couldnt help but notice they seemed a bit naked

- and nakedness is frowned upon in the World I am sure. So, jibbitz to the rescue! Ok, I already had a couple of these little gems, but you can never have too many right?!?! So here are the non-naked, park appropriate Grape Crocs. And yes, I intentionally placed Donald and Daisy to look like they are talkign to each other- but we'll just keep that between us
I bought a couple of them on eBay because I really really wanted the castle one. I unfortnately could not find the Castle on its own, so with it I acquired the POC one, a Buzz one not shown, and a Princess crown one, also not shown. I wasnt' really into the Buzz and crown ones, so I am just going to take them with me and find a deserving kid or two to pawn them off on.- Year of a Million Dreams, the Ashley version
Ok, I admit, I have ordered a few more too. But I will not be wearing ALL my jibbitz at once. I have to accessorize according to outfit of course. I think of jibbitz as shoes for your shoes. My DBF, bless his Disney loving heart, has yet to find the joy in Crocs or the aforementioned jibbitz. He just rolls his eyes, and says And why do we need another pair of clown shoes in the house? BECAUSE I LIKE THEM GOSH DARN IT! Hmph, take that, the woman has spoken. Ok, I dont yell at him like the typing implies, but it is more dramatic that way dont ya think?
Hmm, what else have I picked up since we last chatted? Oh yes, a couple random odds and ends. Let me first say, whoever thought of putting merchandise in the checkout lines is a genius. I might as well have S-U-C-K-E-R spelled out on my forehead. Now, did I NEED these next two items? No. Did I want them and ultimately leave the store with them? You bet your bottom dollar I did! And looking back, I still love them. First off, mini Disney playing cards. Hey, its hurricane season still, storms are always abrewin in Florida, you never know when we will be confined to our room for a few hours with nary Stacys top 7 picks to kill time.
Secondly, well, here
..
Was the regular chap-stick cheaper? Yes. Was the regular chap-stick just as effective? Yes. Was the regular chap-stick nearly as cool? ABSOLUTELY NOT! As you can see I have already shamelessly busted into the pack, and I am now toting a POC chap-stick in my purse. I admit, it is REALLY sweet tasting- kind of like Hawaiian Punch, but its ok, its worth it.
This brings to my last little purchase- ok, purchases. You see, I have been toying around with the idea of pin trading. It all seems very cute and game like to me, although I know some people are VERY serious about it. I just think they are cute and whimsical, and a nice way to express your Disney personality. I have bought a few over the years, but always wussed out when it came time to wearing them around in the parks. I dont know why- Im not THAT shy after all. I have a few that I have purchased online that I am willing to part with, so I am determined to at least wear them on a lanyard in the parks, no matter what this year! Whether I actually make an honest to goodness trade or not, remains to be seen. I have ordered a lanyard and everything so I will be ready to go when I get there. Im sure that if I do trade I will commit pin heresy or something

and trade a good pin for cutesy, less than desirable pin but I dont really care. So, anyway, here are a couple pins I have recently acquired online. I like them, but I am ok parting with them should the need arise.
Well, I guess that brings to a close all of my current new purchases. I dont believe that anything has changed on my itinerary lately. I do have one ADR that I need to cancel at Raglan Road, but other than that I think I am all set so far. I cant believe that I have been so long without changing any ADRs. Go me!
Ok, well I have put off work long enough, I better hit the grind.
Up next, will my sweet new tripod ever arrive??? Will I be able to not royally mess up my MNSSHP iron on t-shirt designs?? And what other necessities will I add to my growing Disney collection?
