Will be going to both magic kingdom and studios on the same day. Will have normal fast pass (or whatever its called these days).

Which park is best to start with in regards to booking the initial 3 fast passes?

Im guessing studios because with so few rides I imagine they fill up fast.

As an aside. What rides currently still have a virtual queaue we need to consider as well?

Thanks. Been to Disney lots. But man its tough to keep up to date on changes.

Which park do you want to experience the nighttime entertainment? Happily Ever After (MK) or Fantasmic! (DHS)? To me, that would play a big role in which park I went to first.

Also, what are the park hours? If you only have one day and wish to do these 2 parks, if nighttime entertainment didn't play a role in my decision, I'd go to the one open later, second.

Also, do you want to experience the shows at DHS? Indiana Jones, Beauty and the Beast? Those don't run later in the day so that would lead me towards going there first.

To me, the answers to some of these questions would help me decide which park to go to first as there really is not a 'one size fits all' answer to your question. Too many variables.

If you can rope-drop, I would lean towards whichever park that helps you out most.

If I only have one day and didn’t mind spending on LL, I would:

Book LLMP 7 days in advance (if staying on site) for SDD, TSM, and ST (with ST being as early as possible for a burner LL). I’d also book LLSP for RotR and Tron. (This would be pricey for all the LL though.)

Day of, I’d try for VQ for Tiana. Rope drop HS, likely RnRC and ToT.

Use ST LL at 9 am to open LL tiers and the ability to book at MK. The rest of the day would depend on what LL rides and times I was able to get.

I’d hop to MK because it’s open later and also has more rides. Some of my favorites are lower demand and easier to get LL for later in the day.

Great series of questions to help me narrow this down my friendly fellow Ontarian. :).

No daytime shows needed. And of the two I think happily ever after is mlre essential.....by a hair.

Guardians, Bayou Adventure.

Bayou is to be booked at 7am day of?

Edit: just saw the very helpful sticky threads that address this.

If you are buying LLMP, I would definitely do HS first. Many of those rides will be difficult to book same day, so prebooking and following wereallmadhere’s plan will be key to getting HS rides without huge lines. MK will have better same day availability, although you may have trouble getting PP and SM.

Re MK: Also, if you book DHS first, you'll probably also have trouble getting TBA, which is an LLMP as well as a VQ.

OP, Could you list what rides are must-dos for you? That would help with strategizing your day.

You can get a lot done at HS by rope dropping with early entry. Especially if you buy LL for RoTR then you can hit SDD, ToT or RnRR as your first ride. MK has way more rides so there are going to more options for LLs past the initial 3 but probably not tier 1 availability.
