Okay...the dilemma we all face every Disney trip....too many restaurant choices....not enough nights! These are the "for-sure keepers"....
Liberty Tree
Boma
'Ohana
Hoop Dee Doo
We have room for 2 more dinners....here are the choices...which would you pick/eliminate? (By the way, we're a mom, dad, kids 14, 10 and 6...none of us picky eaters...even the little one very good at restaurants and open to all kinds of food!)
Garden Grill...(was going to be our first-night dinner experience with our Florida-based, 91-year-old aunt!)...Palio...California Grill...LeCellier.

definitely keep california grill!! so, if i was gonna have to eliminate, it would be, and for no reason, garden grill and palio. well, garden grill because you already have one character dinner planned. we have eaten there serveral times and while the food is good, the other choices left are much better.:p

I would keep Garden Grill and Le Cellier.

We've had two bad experiences in a row at Palio, and will not return. It's also not terribly child friendly for your youngest.

Garden Grill is interesting in that it overlooks the Living with the Land ride as it rotates around. The menu is varied enough that everyone will be happy. It's also moderately priced. I mention this because when I treat older relatives to dinner they often balk at the prices, and feel "We're spending too much" on them.

CG is very nice, but expensive and a bit drawn out--unless your youngest is used to longer dining experiences she might get bored. They do provide crayons... Also depending on your timing it can be a long wait for a table even with PS if people stay for the fireworks.

Le Cellier has excellent food and service, we've never been disappointed. it's fairly efficient, generally in and out in 60-75 minutes, and come as you are casual.

Hope this helps.

Anne

I would keep California Grill for certain. Great food and fine for kids especially those who like yours enjoy trying different foods...although the kids menu is also fine for a typical child's taste. We also don't find it longer than any other nice dinner spot at WDW. We usually go early and don't have to wait more than a minute or two for a table.

Is your aunt still able to walk long distances? If not, I would skip Le Cellier and Garden Grill. We don't care for the menu at Garden Grill. Like Le Cellier but waited longer there than we ever have at CG other than one time we were waiting fo the wine room. Both of course involve quite a walk through Epcot.

We've never tried Palio but would certainly pick a hotel restaurant for dinner with your aunt.

We recently ate at Palio and food and service were excellent. And we're picky about Italian food. I liked that the place was not overly crowded and we were not rushed at all.

I also agree that you should keep Palio! As far as it not being child friendly, my ds9 loved it there, loved the children's menu, and he was treated very well by the staff. They went out of their way to make his dessert exactly how they (one of the waiters and ds) had talked about at the table(the waiter started the sundae conversation). I would say for your childen's ages they would find something on either the adult or the children's menu that would be to their liking. Our dd17 didn't go to dinner with us that night so I don't have her opinion. My own opinion is that the food is fantastic, ambiance wonderful, and it was nice for once not to have to wait for a table. This was w/o reservations at all!

I hope you have a wonderful time!

Debbie

I would take out Palio and probably Le Cellier.

Garden Grill is our favorite character meal and we never miss it. Great food and the best character interaction we have ever found.

The last choice is tougher for me but the food at Le Cellier while good is not so unique that I can't get something pretty similiar here at home. CG is more unique and the atmosphere is something you are not going to find anywhere else.

i wood give up the garden grill. Three members of our six person party were very ill shortly after eating.

We had a similar dilemma and opted to keep Garden Grill and Le Cellier. We must have similar taste in restaurants because we will be visiting the same restaurants you are!!

I agree with Ducklite - keep Garden Grill (our favorite character meal) and LeCellier.

We love LeCellier, so we vote for that to stay. Also, Garden Grill will be a nice hit for the kids.

I would agree with earliar posts ~ Keep Le Cellier and Gareden Grill.
