We got up early for EE at MK, and arrived there at 8. We went right to Tomorrowland, and were a bit surprised to see that there was quite a wait for Space Mountain (standby 25 min, FP time was 1 hour later). We grabbed some FP's, and did Alien Encounter and Buzz Lightyear, before it was time to do Space Mountain.

From there, we trekked through Fantasyland, and waiting in line to go to Liberty Square and Frontierland, which was just about to open. Everyone seemed to be heading to Splash Mountain and so did we. Despite that there was virtually no wait to get on, and by the time we had finished the ride, the initial rush of people had already got on, so that the wait was next to nil. Since it was a bit cold that morning, we decided not to go back on and went on the Haunted Mansion before going to the Kona Cafe for brunch.

We took the monorail to the Polynesian, and this was the first time we have seen it. It is very unique, but as a deluxe resort it didn't seem THAT great. Then again, I'm sure if I stayed there I'd feel differently. The Kona Cafe is an average looking place, but the food was great. I ordered the Tonga Toast that I had heard about on these boards. My fiancee's omelete was very tasty as well. The best part of the meal was the coffee - it was very good, and not just because we hadn't had good coffee during the prior week.
We were stuffed by the end of the meal, and the total cost was only around $20 for the two of us - quite affordable for Disney standards!

From there we bussed to AK for the afternoon. We figured the Safari would be crowded, so we went to Dinoland. There was a lot of construction going on there, and later we found out they're building a couple of coasters there. We got onto Dinosaur after a 10 minute wait - unfortunately the ride stopped twice, including once at the very end where the T-Rex comes down at you (seemed like a bit of a rip off from Jurassic Park at IOA). I didn't remember that part of the ride from the last time I did it in 1999.

From there we went to the Festival of the Lion King show which we'd heard great things about. It was very nice to see. I later saw the Broadway show and wished that there was as much acrobatics in the stage show as there was in the Festival of the Lion King.

By that time it was mid afternoon, and we figured we'd wander over to the Safari. The FP return time was only 30 min away, so we shopped a bit, and then returned for the safari. It was quite hot by that time, and we didn't see many animals. They seemed to have added fake alligators - either that or there were a lot of them not moving, and in the exact same position when I did the Safari again the next day.

We were getting a bit tired so we went back to DxL, napped, and then to Cirque de Soleil for 6 pm. This was an amazing show - a good mix of acrobats, high-wire acts, clowns etc. Unfortunately, two women behind us were talking (loud) throughout most of it, and were yelling quite loud as if they were at a football game.
We grabbed some sandwiches at Wolfgang puck's Express afterwards (great food, even for the price!), shopped a bit, and then returned home for a relatively early evening.

Next day - AK, Donald's Breakfast, O'Hana's.

What a great day! We had a wonderful breakfast at the Kona Cafe too. That Tonga toast is yummy. The portions are huge though. I think it could feed 3 people. :)

I like FOTLK too. The tumble monkeys are great aren't they?

Topping off you day at Cirque must have been great! It's too bad you were sitting in front of such inconsiderate people.

Thanks for sharing your day with us, peacefrogdog. :)
