Two Months To Our First Trip As DVC Members!!

Hey guys...

My mum and I joined the dvc in September and so we used our first years points to stay at Saratoga in December We're based at Bay Lake but there was no way of getting anything there at such short notice

Just a little question:

Obviously we get an 11 month window for Bay Lake but we like the sound of Animal Kingdom Lodge for next September. In your experience, will there still be rooms (studio) when the 7 month window opens?

If you are planning on a Savanna View Studio at AKV, I think you should be able to get that at 7 months.

If you were planning on either a Value (smaller than other studios), Standard View or Concierge Level Studio, these will be more difficult to get at 7 months.

Our home resort is AKV. Last year we planned a Jambo GV family reunion for this September that just passed. Sometime in June our friends had decided to join us and I was nervous about being able to get them a room for the last week of Sept./Oct. that close to our vacation. I was able to get them 5 nights in a value studio, and 2 nights in a SV studio. I would have preferred they didn't move in the middle of the trip, but this was all they had for that week in Jambo. I don't remember our options for Kidani. I think at 7 months you will have a good chance at getting something except for the concierge level.

Just call AT 7 months.

We called at 6 months and had a very hard time finding a room for the first week of December.
