Well we are only two months away now from our September trip! Everything is booked, ADRs have been made, Fastpasses have been made, and the trip is paid in full except for gas/incidentals/shopping. This will be my fifth trip in as many years, but this will be my girlfriend's very first trip to WDW. Although she did grow up in California and went to DL numerous times.
We are doing a split USR/WDW trip. We will be driving down from Virginia, so no airfare, rental cars, or ME. We check in on Sept 13th at Universal's Cabana Bay Resort. We will be spending two nights there before heading over to Disney's CSR. We will be staying there for eight nights and checking out Sept 23rd. We have Universal Power Passes and 7 day Disney Park Hoppers which I may upgrade to Annual Passes. We will also be taking advantage of Free Dining during our stay.
I love traveling to WDW in September. It's a perfect time of year to be there with low-moderate crowds. The weather is also pretty good as long as you plan for the daily afternoon storm. Plus it's FOOD & WINE TIME! I like to plan my travel around the opening of F&W in order to take advantage of the nonexistent crowds during the F&W soft opening on the Thursday before the Festival officially starts.
This is shaping up to be my best trip to the World yet. I'm hoping everything goes well and that she has an amazing time on her first visit to both WDW and USR.
