Two MNSSHP's and Food & Wine... OH MY! - ***Updated 2/16***

Love the shirts!!! I should really get on making mine since I am going in 3 weeks :scared1:

Now I don't know what Emma and I should be... Maybe she can be Aurora and I can be the Blue Fairy. Since we seem to have matching couples

I like that idea! Or she could be Rapunzel and you could be Mother Gothel? I will have to think of some more ideas ;)

She has decided Aurora and Belle will be her "next" princesses. She has done Ariel, Snow White, Tink and Cinderella

Hello All! I figured I should probably start posting our plans for the trip since we really have not done that yet. :headache:

Our plans so far:
Staying at POR in one of the new Royal Rooms September 29 - October 7. We have to still book airfare, but we will fly US Air and will get the 7am flight down to MCO as always. (If possible, we will use Glen's miles for the tickets and because he usually flies US Air for business he is a premium member - which means no luggage fees for us)

Arrival Day plan of attack:

Meals – breakfast @ the airport
Lunch @ Flame Tree BBQ
Dinner @ T-Rex Café

Parks – AK & DTD

Wake up before the roosters at O'dark hundred (which means we will get up 30 minutes before we go to bed ;) ) and head to the airport by 4am. We should get to the off site parking by 5 and will have plenty of time to get to the airport and check in and go through security.

We should land around 9:30am and we will make our way down to the ME busses. I figure we should get to the resort and check-in by 11am. If our room is ready will go check it out before heading out, if not, no biggie store what we don't want to take to the park and head on over.

For today, we plan to head over to AK and send Glen to grab FP's for Everest and then we will grab some lunch at Flame Tree BBQ. We love the food here. IMO one of the best quick serve places in all of Disney World.

After lunch we should be able to go ride Everest and then maybe a ride on Kali Rapids. I also want to go on the Safari this afternoon and take Ethan to see the Flights of Wonder show. Glen & I saw this last May and we loved it. We think Ethan will be especially excited to see some of the birds to fly over and we hope to get him to be one of the audience members to go up on stage.

After we get in some good rides I want to head back to the resort and dump anything we may be carrying and get into our room if it was not ready earlier. From here we will take the boat over to DTD and go to T-Rex for dinner - we have always liked the look of this place but since it was not on the dining plan, we did not eat there. I am so glad they added this to DxDP. I know Ethan will want to make his own dino. After dinner depending on the time we may walk around and shop a bit. If it is getting late or we are getting tired, we will just head back to the room unpack and crash.

Whew! Day one sounds ambitious! And fun! I think getting up 30 minutes before you go to bed is a super great idea.

We LOVED Flights of Wonder. They didn't have anyone on stage this time except 2 adults when the owl flew down. The only kid who did anything was sitting in the middle section and the lady had her throw a grape up in the air. She was toward the front, edge, middle section of the theater.

Day 1 is always ambitious for us but we are always so excited to be there that if we don't start doing stuff it doesn't seem real. I figure we can head out of AK by 5 and get a ressie for 6pm and be back to the resort between 8 9pm to crash.

Hi! I was lurking around for some Oct PTR and glad I found yours! We are booking our Oct trip this week for a week after you guys so it will be fun to stalk, I mean follow;) your PTR! Your movie nights look like so much fun and love the shirts!

That is a very ambitious day one :scared1:

I guess maybe I should try to keep up and get writing my day one post :confused3

Ours won't be nearly as busy as yours

Those are ambitious day 1 plans!! I agree though, we like to get the trip started ASAP once we get there.

We have never eaten at T-Rex either, but we are hoping to get an ADR there for our Dec trip. For the Oct trip we arent even venturing away from MK & Epcot. If we cant get there by foot or monorail, its a no go for that trip since it will be so short.

I always hear amazing things about Flame Tree. I will have to eat there some day.

Cant wait to hear more of your plans.

We're planning to visit T-Rex during our trip too. I ate there a few years ago after it first opened up. I loved the atmosphere & the food was pretty good too but be warned, it's very loud. Especially if you get sat right next to a dinosaur like I did!

I figured I needed to start since I have so many posts and nothing really about the trip. :lmao: We may not accomplish everything we want to for day 1 but it's a start. I am flexible on all but riding Everest and easting at Flame Tree and our TRex ressie.

Flame Tree is a must do for us each trip. We love the food and the seating area since it is right across the lake from Everest and you can hear the screams! :scared1:

I've heard it is good but the OOP prices scared me. I can use 1 TS credit for that and not feel cheated. I also figure we will be right under a speaker since that seams to be our luck with things. :sad2:

AND!! A new development today, well 2 really, the TA site has the September hours up and we did our Photo pass pre-order today!

I'm saving for a Landry's gift card through MyPoints so we're going to use that when we go to T-Rex.

The September hours were posted yesterday so I'm hoping that means the October hours will be posted mid March :thumbsup2

Well, it's official we booked our flights!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: It didn't go as I hoped, but still worked out. I will also be submitting our final payment to Disney tomorrow so that makes me even more excited!

Just a head's up, I may not get the update in until Monday since we have a pretty busy weekend ahead of us.

Tomorrow we are taking Ethan to go see Star Wars in 3D. We can't wait! Then Saturday we plan to work on our tie-dye shirts and we will be watching Little Mermaid for our movie night. Sunday we are meeting up with some friends and Monday I may go over to the outlets by us and spend some money at the Disney Store.

Wish us luck that the tie-dye shirts come out well!

I hope to get to the theater to see Star Wars this weekend.

Since you are working on your tie-dye shirts, if I sent you some materials would you mind creating ours too?:rolleyes1

The Disney Outlet store is pretty cool. They have stuff that isn't in the stores any longer, and they have a clearance area with some park merchandise, although most of it is DisneyLand stuff, and since I have never been to DisneyLand I didn't buy any of it.

Good luck finishing our shirts for us.:lmao:

Uhhh... sure we could do your shirts. It'll cost ya though! :thumbsup2

as for our new store I love it. We were there for opening day. 1st people in line. :cool1: We got a $5GC, key chain, magnet and special Disney Store ears. It was really cool.

:woohoo: for booking the flights! It makes the trip seem real, KWIM?

I do. I am kicking myself because we looked at flights end of December/early January and they were much cheaper, but at least we got it done and over with. No turning back now! :wizard:

:yay: for booking your flights!! That does make it so much more real. We havent done that yet. Plan on flying SW and when I checked their site last week the dates were still unavailable.

Have fun with the t-shirts...and Star Wars 3-D...and movie night!

We have movie night tomorrow too. Since its Mardi Gras coming up, we are watching Princess & the Frog. Making gumbo tomorrow and having a King's Cake delivered (fresh from Louisiana!)

Have a great weekend!

Sounds yummy! We are doing Princess and the Frog on March 3 and will be having some southern BBQ courtesy of Famous Daves. We are going to the Wings lacrosse game that night so we can see our favorite goalie have his number retired.

I am glad that I found your pre-trip report. It seems we will be in the world at the same time. We are staying at CSR from September 28 – October 7. Can’t wait to hear your plans and the ADR’s you made.
