I was reading someone's trip report last night and I thought they said that their 8 year old was able to sign themselves out of the club. I thought it started when they are 10 years old. Please let me know since my dd just turned 8 and if it's a possibility (and a CM will ask if I want her to have that priveledge) then I need to talk to her about it beforehand (as in telling her no!).
Secondly, we will be arriving in Orlando today (the day before our Wonder cruise) around 3ish and staying at the Marriot Orlando Airport Hotel. I know the excitement is going to make the waiting seem forever. BUT would it be unwise to do a quick Disney fix such as going to the Magic Kingdom for a few hours or to the Marketplace? Or would that just get us too tired for the upcoming cruise? If not, what would be the best way to do one of these day trips? Is there a cheaper evening ticket price for the parks? Any help is greatly appreciated!
We will be leaving this morning at 8:30 eastern time so I will check for replies shortly before that. Thanks in advance!

I am not one hundred percent sure, but I think that if you get a ticket to one of the parks, you pay full price regardless of if you are getting to the park in the morning or mid afternoon. I believe there are no discount prices on this.

If i remember right, last year when my son was 9, i was told that he could sign himself out if i approved, so i asked that he not be able to do this. I think in the 8 to 10 age, you have the option to give permission for this to happen, but again I am not totally one hundred percent sure.

have a wonderful trip!

My suggestion would be to skip the parks but definiately head to Downtown Disney for a quick Disney fix.....the parks do not discount for later day entry and I don't think you would be able to accomplish too much in that short time. Also, I was down there 1/1, 1/2 a few years ago and the parks were jammed!!!!

Have a pleasant few hours in Downtown Disney and be well rested for your cruise....happy sailing.
