Two hours in MK, what would you do?

So it looks like the first time we go to MK we will only have 3 hours there. "Little Ones" EMH are from 8-9 am and I think that Fantasyland is the only land open. That will take care of the first hour. Can we do all of FL in an hour?

If you only had 2 hours, what would you insist on experiencing? We will be back but not that same day. I am looking forward to MK more than any other park. Right now I am thinking:

Splash for DD 8
POTC for DH
Buzz for DS 5
CoP for me
Space for DD 10

Is that doable in the first 2 opening hours?

Uhhh....no. You might get most of FL in that first hour, but Dumbo will eat some time and Mickey's Philharmagic(not to be missed) will eat more. Then you plan on going to the furthest region in both directions and ride 5 major attractions. Pick Adventureland or Tomorrowland and do what you can there.

:thumbsup2 Thanks, just the kind of info I was looking for.

So would you finish FL and then see what you could do or move to AL or TL as soon as it hits 9 am?

Okay, best I can do. You've got 9-11am. Here's what I would do:
- FP for Space
- Ride Buzz
- Ride Space
- Either walking or by train, by the time you get to Frontierland, your next FP window MAY be open (assuming you get the Space FP at or just after 9am). If so, get a FP for Splash.
- Ride POTC
- Ride Splash
- CoP if you have time.

Get FPs for everyone, even if they don't want to ride a certain ride. Then you can double up.:woohoo:

If you don't finish Fantasyland between 8-9am, and you have some time left over, do Philharmagic (after Splash) in place of CoP. Disclosure: I haven't ever seen CoP, but I have a hard time believing it beats Philharmagic. And to insure getting started on Part 2 of your plan at 9am, I'd be picky about the Fantasyland rides you do. I'd omit Snow White, IASW, the Teacups, and Carousel. Save Philharmagic until closer to 11am. And be there at 8am rope drop.:thumbsup2

This approach may not be right for everyone. It's just how I roll.

:thumbsup2 I like you roll other than the skipping IASW ;). I am a huge IASW fan even though I hear WDW's is not as cool as DL's. I know saying cool and IASW in the same sentence makes me look wacky! :lmao:

I saw CoP years ago as a child when it was in DL so I am eager to see it again. I know that the kids might hate it though. It might be something I do alone or with my fellow DL geek buddy!

Thanks for the head's up on what to skip. For sure the carousel is out and the teacups and SW can wait.

Ooh, just noticed. You're going in September? CoP is listed as Open Seasonally, so it may not be open in the slower times of year.

Since you're a DL veteran and probably have ridden Space Mountain there I'm going to say this MK version can wait.

I'd certainly see Philharmagic since it is unique to MK. If your kids like Dumbo, there's the magic carpet ride in Adventureland so I may head over there and do Splash, Pirates, BTMRR and the magic carpets.

I agree do FL and AL if you have time. Last Sept we did all of FL except Phil. in the first hour.
Just out of curiosity are you leaving for a lunch reservation? If so you might check to make sure you have enough time to make it there.

:goodvibes Good tip on Space. They have been on DL's dozens of times so that is a good one to skip. I hear WDW's Splash is way better than DL's. My little ones love Dumbo! Magic Carpets; too cool! :cool1:

We are leaving for a lunch ressie in EPCOT and it's for 11:50 am. I am desperately trying to get a dinner ressie that night but I really want to try it so if dinner doesn't pan out then we will keep the lunch. Do you thinking if we head to the front gates of MK by 11:00 we'll make it to Le Cellier by 11:50? :)

CoP is almost always open. It was open last Sept and we were 2 of 12 people in 'our' audience. Cm's told me it has been continually open for a long time and no one seems to know why it's listed as seasonal.

:thumbsup2 Thanks! My friend would die, well not really. ;) Spaceship Earth will be closed and if the CoP is closed he will need an intervention and a Xanax.
