Two families - two invoices?

Not sure the best way to phrase this question, so here goes.

We're going next January with another family and will be sharing a two BR suite at BWV. Can it be arranged so that four keys are in my family's name (and thus the charging privileges would be on our credit card), and the other four keys be in our friend's name (with their CC used for charges). Can two separate invoices be done in this manner?

No, it is one billing card per reservation. However, you can get a print-out of your charges the night before you leave and your guests can pay whatever portion of the total they owe on their own credit card. They will "swipe" their card, pay their portion, they they will need to "swipe" your card again to get it back into the system.

Chuck is correct. Although you will each have a room key in your own name, there can only be one credit card on file for charges. Proceeding by splitting the bill yourselves is the way to divide it.

Or, you can have only one family with charging privileges, and the other keys would be just room keys only. They would lose the convenience of room key charging, but could use their own credit cards to pay as they go along.

Thanks all for the info and suggestions. I think I'll take the approach to get all the charges on one card, then split the bill at checkout.

Be sure to do it the night before, as all charges charge out to the card on file automatically on the morning of check-out.

In July I had three different family units using my account. It was pretty easy to figure out who billed what. The last digit on each room key card is numbered identifying who it was that used the card. I was 01, by dad was 02, my mom was 03, my brother was 04, sister-in-law was 05, and nephew was 06. I got out the bill on the day of check-out and went through the list and doubled checked with all of them to make sure there were no "strange" charges. It worked just fine.

Have a GREAT trip.

You don't have to wait until the last day. You can go down nightly and get the bill and split it. We did that when we had a bunch of people on one trip. You might want to ask if they would be able to sort the charges on the print out by room key. That would make it real easy for you.

That would be a pain to go down every night and split the bill. I would much rather have everyone use their own credit card than have to hassle with a trip down to the front desk every night.

Dependind on how much charging goes on during the week, you could hit the limit ($1500.?) and Disney will automatically roll it over onto the credit card on file. You may want to do a mid-week check on your balance.

Excellent point, but alas we'll only be there five days, of which only three are potentially 'charge-heavy.' Day 1 is a late arrival and day 5 is an early departure.

When you say different family units, do you mean staying in separate rooms on your points? We will have 3 families on points in separate rooms and 1 family in a room on cash with my discount. Can each room have a separate charge with their room keys?

Yes, as they are separate rooms, the keys will be different for each room and can have a different card on each room.

We have 3 couples staying in a 2 bedroom in December. I plan to have my card and DH's card able to charge to the room. The other two couples (DH's sister and brother plus their spouses) will just have to use their charge cards. I don't want the hassle of having to go to the desk to do anything at all with our bill.

This is what I like to do too when I have guests with me. If they can wip out a room key to charge they can certainly wip out a credit card to charge!
