Two Families-One World!! Our FIRST WDW Trip PTR! ***UPDATED 4/28***

Five days from today and we will be setting out to the World!! I am borrowing this from @Gracefulskinny and I am going to do a once over of our plans, just to get everything straight in my head!!

Friday---May 1---Travel Day

We plan to leave out about 5:30 AM. We will meet my Mom and her family at 5:45. We hope the kids will stay asleep in the car and we can get about 2 hours along or so before we need to stop for breakfast! We are packing breakfast and lunch from home. We plan to stop around 12:00 for lunch at a rest area to let the kids stretch their legs.

We hope to arrive at our hotel in Daytona by about 3:30. We will get checked in and then hit up the beach! My step-dad requested Krystal Burger for dinner. He is from Georgia and we don't have any here in NC. I haven't ever eaten there, so I am excited to try them out! We hope to turn in fairly early, but I am afraid the excitement will be too much for me!

Saturday---May 2---First Day in the World!!

We plan to get up at regular time, which is between 7:00 and 8:00. We will grab a fast food breakfast and make a quick grocery stop. Then we will head to ASM to check in! We will then head to DTD for some shopping. I bought a couple of Groupons last week for Earl of Sandwich, so we will be having lunch there! Then we will head back to the room. We may swim if we have time, if not we will start getting ready for dinner! The DH and I decided to plan an evening at MK this day after dinner. No one knows about it but us. I just didn't want to have to wait until out fourth day to go to MK! We will let everyone know about the surprise while getting ready for dinner.

Here are the shirts I created for everyone to wear this evening.

So here is the plan for this evening. I am going on Touring Plans times. I know we may not get there right when this says and we may skip some things. I am the kind of person that would rather have a plan of action and skip things than stand around trying to figure out what to do next. So anyway, on with the plan!

4:00-- Leave for Chef Mickey Dinner
5:20-- Chef Mickey ADR
7:10-- Arrive at MK
7:15---Barnstormer with FP+/Tiff & Simon ride Dumbo with FP+

10:25---Ride Haunted Mansion

11:10---Space Mountain

Even though the park is open until 2:00, we have an early morning ADR the next day. I don't want to get everyone too tired the first night. We will also see how the kids do with this plan. They are good with staying up late, and we only have two late nights scheduled for the trip, this one and then one the day after our rest day

Sunday---May 3---Hollywood Studios

We have a pre-park opening ADR this morning, so we will be up an at em pretty early! I am hoping that breakfast moves pretty quickly so that we can head over and beat the crowds to RnRC.

Here are the kids shirts for this day. The adults are wearing Star Wars and my mom is wearing Mr. Potato Head:

We hope to catch Fantasmic and maybe another ride on TSMM if we aren't exhausted. I think that after our late night before we may not make it to everything, but like I said, I just like to have something planned and then skip or rearrange as needed. :flower1:

Looking good. Love the MK surprise. And having 7DMT FP+ for the surprise night is like icing on the cake! :thumbsup2

Five days from today and we will be setting out to the World!! I am borrowing this from @Gracefulskinny and I am going to do a once over of our plans, just to get everything straight in my head!!
Yay for 5 days out! :thumbsup2:cheer2: And it really is a good way to order your thoughts.

My step-dad requested Krystal Burger for dinner. He is from Georgia and we don't have any here in NC. I haven't ever eaten there, so I am excited to try them out!
Meh, I have never really understood the appeal. You have to REALLY like onions to enjoy them.

I am the kind of person that would rather have a plan of action and skip things than stand around trying to figure out what to do next.
::yes:: I am so there with you! Better to have a plan and be prepared and not need it then the other way around. (Note see today's PTR update for an example of when this strategy REALLY comes in handy!:rotfl:)

Great plans so far! I love the idea of surprising everyone with an MK stop on the first night!!

Thanks! I am SO excited that we can surprise them!!

Thanks!! I still can't believe we were able to get one for our first day! :yay:

The DH will be sad to hear that LOL, he is not an onion fan. I have had White Castle before. I have heard they are similar. They were good, but not my favorite. I figure I will like these about as much LOL.

Yay for 5 days out! :thumbsup2:cheer2: And it really is a good way to order your thoughts.

Now only 3!!!!!!! :jumping1::banana: Yes it really is!!

Exactly!! I read about your tooth :sad1: ! Sending good vibes :goodvibes that it will be healed before your trip and the your DD starts feeling better.

Onto Day 4, EPCOT! I made shirts for everyone to wear on this day.

Monday---May 4---EPCOT

The plans this day are a little more divided since there are several things Simon can't do in the morning. We plan to arrive at RD to get in a ride on Test Track.

Park Opening---Head to Test Track. We will get a Rider Swap Pass for my Mom, Gabe, and I.
9:40---When they finish Test Track, they will ride Mission Space with FP+.

---We will head to The Seas while they ride and do Turtle Talk with our FP+.

---We plan to meet and give Simon to the other group after we finish all the things at The Seas.

12:15---Living with the Land

12:50---Spaceship Earth with FP+

7:55---ADR at Akershus

We will head back to the room after dinner since I am sure we will be exhausted. :rotfl:

Tuesday---May 5---Rest Day

We plan to sleep in a little this morning. We have a breakfast ADR at 9:50 at 1900 Park Fare.

After we finish breakfast, we plan to head over the Beach Club and rent a Surrey bike. This look like so much fun!!

Afterwards, we will go to Beaches and Cream. We have two reservations for 4 people. I couldn't find one for 5 at all. We are debating just cancelling the reservations and just getting two of the small Mickey Pants ice creams from the window. I guess we need to be deciding this soon. :rotfl:

After ice cream, we will head back to ASM to swim and relax!

My step-dad really wants to try out the Chip and Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long this evening. I am not sure if we will make it. It all depends on how tired we are and if we feel like making the trek to the campgrounds.

Wednesday---May 6---Magic Kingdom

This day is extra special for us! My sister, niece, and nephew will be joining us! They are driving down from NC on Tuesday and will spend one day at MK and have a beach day the next day before heading home.

This will be one of our longest days. We have early BBB reservations and plan to stay pretty late to spend time with my sister. We had planned on taking an afternoon break before my sister decided to come down on this day. I don't know if we will get all these things in, but we have another MK day on Friday, so if we get tired, we will just leave some things for then!

Ice cream is a good choice no matter how you go about it. You can always try just keeping what you have and ask them to try to accommodate more when you check in. Might be a little more wait, but they'd probably try to work with you.

Looks like a fun MK day. I'm glad your sister can join you, even if for only a day.

Thursday---May 7---Animal Kingdom

I had orignally scheduled a pre-park opening Tusker House. The only thing was, on ADR day, the only time I could get was 8:35. I have tried since then to get an earlier time. I even signed up for DisneyDiningBuddy and paid for an alert to be set. We have had no luck at all. So this past Sunday I decided to try to find a dinner ADR for us on this day and just cancel the breakfast one.

We plan to RD this morning. We plan to take this day pretty easy.

That is what I was thinking. Simon is the only one not on the reservation, and he is only 23 months old. I am hoping they will just let him squeeze in the booth with us or sit on DH's lap. :rotfl:

Looks like a fun MK day. I'm glad your sister can join you, even if for only a day.

Yeah, I am super excited that she was able to work it out to come!! :D

Your magic bands look really good. I love the trip diary and all the other things as well.
Your plans sound great.
Can't wait to hear about your trip! I hope you will do a report.

Awesome plans!! Wow...too bad about not being able to get a pre-park opening ADR...I guess those can be hard to come by...but everything sounds awesome!

I bought a couple of Groupons last week for Earl of Sandwich, so we will be having lunch there!

If you sign up for the Earl of Sandwich club, they'll email you a coupon for a free sandwich! In fact, I just printed mine out when we visit DTD here at Disneyland this weekend. I'm assuming it would work for WDW too!

The DH and I decided to plan an evening at MK this day after dinner. No one knows about it but us. I just didn't want to have to wait until out fourth day to go to MK! We will let everyone know about the surprise while getting ready for dinner.

Have you tried calling the dining line to see if they can modify this?

Love the jungle Mickey oh my gosh!

Your magic bands look really good. I love the trip diary and all the other things as well.
Your plans sound great.
Can't wait to hear about your trip! I hope you will do a report.

:thanks:!! I plan on writing one! I just hope I take good notes and don't slack LOL.

Awesome plans!! Wow...too bad about not being able to get a pre-park opening ADR...I guess those can be hard to come by...but everything sounds awesome!

Thanks!! Yeah, they must be for Tusker House!! I am excited to try Rain Forest Cafe though!

If you sign up for the Earl of Sandwich club, they'll email you a coupon for a free sandwich! In fact, I just printed mine out when we visit DTD here at Disneyland this weekend. I'm assuming it would work for WDW too!

Thank you!! I just did this!! :worship:

Aw everyone's going to love this!

I hope!! My mom is NOT big on surprises LOL, but this is a good one, so hopefully she won't be too upset that we kept it a secret.

Love the way you break up everything. Leaves no room for, "what should we do next?" :thumbsup2

Yeah, I figure if we don't want to do something we can skip it, but I would rather have it written down than just standing around wondering where to go and what to do, LOL.

I have never done this, but it's super popular. I saw kids doing this everywhere and they seemed to really enjoy it!

I have read about it in several TRs and it looks so neat!

Have you tried calling the dining line to see if they can modify this?

We called once but we encountered a less than knowledgeable CM. I plan to try again tomorrow or Thursday! :flower:

This is going to be so fun, looking forward to hearing about this!

I am so excited for this!! :yay:

Holy moly this looks like a fabulous, but long day! Will be curious to hear how close you got to this schedule when you actually visit.

Yeah, this is thee day I am most worried about. I hope the kiddos can keep up since it is the only day my sis will be there. I am just glad it is the day after our rest day. I hope to keep up with the times that we arrive when I remember LOL. :rotfl:

Love the jungle Mickey oh my gosh!

Thanks!! They are adorable!! I can't wait to see the boys in them! :D

That makes sense. I wouldn't mind doing breakfast there sometime, but 8:35 is a little late. You're guaranteed to still be in the restaurant for the first half hour or so after RD and I just couldn't do it!

We will get up, use any dining credits we may have left for breakfast. We will then head out.
Yuck. No good way to spin that one.

Looks like it should be a fun trip!
