Two DL CMs visit the world~~A pre-trip report! Updated WE'RE BACK!

Hi everyone!
Once again, my DBF and I have decided to take a trip to Disney World! I'm usually a "lurker" on the boards, but this trip I've decided I want to do a trip report! My dad (goofster57) has written past trip reports and he has inspired me to do the same. Our last trip to Disney World was in January 07 with my family. As much fun as I have vacationing with my family, this year my DBF and I have decided to go with some other Disneyland CM friends of ours.
I'll start my pre-trip report with a little background about my DBF and I...

Me-Jessica a.k.a. TnkrBoo. I'm 22 years old and LOVE everything Disney! I used to work at DL as an attractions hostess, at Indiana Jones, Big Thunder Mountain and the Opera House. It was amazing working at DL but I have since moved on! As much as I love WDW, DL will always be my home!
Favorite park: Epcot
Favorite Attraction: Maelstrom
Favorite Padre: Khalil Greene

DBF-Ryan- a.k.a. Indy1. Is 25 and currently a CM at DL. He started years ago as a ride host in ToonTown and is currently working at the new Nemo sub ride. We met while he was working at Indiana Jones. He loves theme parks in general and makes me leave WDW to visit IOA. He loves the San Diego Padres, sometimes more then me.
Favorite park: Epcot
Favorite attraction: Spaceship Earth
Favorite Padre: Trevor Hoffman

Someone else who will make an appearance in my trip report will be my best friend, Julie. We met while working at DL and she's the # 1 reason why I'm so excited about this trip.

We’re planning our trip for the beginning of January. Most likely the 2nd to the 15th. As much as I would love to stay at a Deluxe resort again the parents aren’t paying, so we’ll most likely be staying at the All-Stars.

All kidding aside (which I don't do very often) TinkerBoo is a pretty good kid. I would have said Young Adult, but I know that would just gross her out.

I thought it was time for a little update! (I love these dancing bananas!)
DBF and I just recently bought our airline tickets. We always try to look for the best deals (or have my mom look for the best deals) because this is the number one expense for us. Since DBF is a CM, we get into the parks in WDW for free and we get 50% off hotels. Since no one in the family works for an airline we have to pay full prices for plane tickets. We were ecstatic when we found a one-way fare on Southwest for $92! We booked it almost immediately. It was by far the cheapest fare we found, most fares were over $200 one-way. The only problem is that the return date isn’t available yet, so we have to wait another two weeks to book our return flight! We also have to fly out of the San Diego airport, so there will be a small road trip added into our vacation! (I love all the smilies!)

We’ve also been discussing hotels. Like I said earlier the parents aren’t paying this time, so we’re budgeting. We’re going to stay at either the All Stars or Pop resorts. I’ve heard really good things about All Star Sports…anyone have any advice or insight about any of the value resorts?!

That's great that you found such a good rate for your flight. Too bad your return flight is not available yet. Leaving out of San Diego is not that bad and road trips are always fun!
