1) Can we use table service credits for counter service if we find that we are not able to get into table service restaurants at times that work for us?

2) Are there any table service restaurants that offer carryout service that we could use our table service credits for and take back to our room if we can't get a reservation to dine in at the restaurant?

1. Primarily no. However, if you want a counter service type meal and talk to the manager of the restaurant you might be able to have it done.

2. May be possible, depending on the restaurant. They do have styrofoam boxes for people who want to take leftovers. However, getting from inside a park back to your resort without spills and messing everything up may be close to impossible. Also, you cannot gt carryout from a buffet.

I would suggest going to the Menus area of Allearsnet.com and think about some places you have not tried and then be flexible on your times.

Also consider that it is a "Dining" plan and not an "eating" plan. Part of the dining experience is the ambiance, service and often presentation of the food.

I did carry out at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian, while they were preparing my meal I wandered thru the gift shop, and bought a bottle of wine to go with it!!

Do try to call on the resort phone for ADR when you get there as well - I've read posts where people are successful this way, depending on where you are staying, ask for assitance at time of check in maybe they have a suggestion too?!! :wizard:

Have you tried to make ADR's and been unable to or are you just worrying? When is your trip?
As others have said, keep trying for an ADR, people cancel frequently and if you can be flexible in your times, you may have luck.
Also many resort locations are easier to get into than those in the parks or the Character Meals.
Good Luck!

We have tried making a few ADRs and been only mildly successful, but we are also concerned that with a 15 month old and 5 year old, we may not be prepared to do table service every day or at scheduled times.

I also realize that it is not an "eating plan", but we are trying to take advantage of the value of the plan in terms of cost savings for us without over-stressing our children. I apologize if anyone thinks it is an inappropriate question.
