There's no need for people in your party to leave at the same time if they have different flight times. The ME departure time will be roughly 3 hours prior to your flight time.
thanks - that was a big concern of mine as I had heard that there was only one ME departure time, if you were on two different flights you would have to be on the same bus or pay for a cab - good to hear! thanks!
I had read on another board that they will only accomodate one time per room, if you come in or leave at separate times you will have to find alternate transportation. Good to hear this - do you know because you or someone you know has actually done it?
We have done this many times...in fact, we have left on different days. I would just go down to the front desk and let them know who is departing on what flights. You really shouldn't have any issues.
I know that in Dec, my friend and I are flying home on two different flights, on different airlines. She won't be amused if they tell her she has to leave when I leave...I leave about 2 hrs before she would be.

Whether by private message or by posting it here on this thread, could you please tell me what board that was on? I'm on a lot of them, and I like to have the record straight in as many places as possible, to help people make GOOD travel plans rather than unnecessarily costly travel plans.

It was awhile ago, but it did cause us to change our travel and pay the change fee to all travel on the same day - I'm not laying blame here though, so please don't think it - if it was that big of a deal I would called DW to confirm. The thread was about people checking in on different days into a room and when the meal plan would take effect during free dining ie: would they all start on the same time, or when they actually arrive. In that same thread was a discussion around ME and the extra expense of having people arrive separately. I really appreciate you making sure that the info posted is correct, I do however believe it is álso everyone's responsiblity to check directly with DW and make sure that whatever is posted is up to date.
Personally, and I know this is reflectly infinite numbers of times across the boards - I don't know what I would have done without these boards! Thanks to all
Add me to the list of those who have actually done it. Often times DH would arrive a day or two after the girls and I and on other trips he would leave a day or two early. Never an issue with DME, just give them all the flight times!
Pretty much the only DME rules are that you must have an advance reservation and you must be a WDW resort guest on the day of travel (including check out day).
