Two DC Metro trains have collided!

This reminds me of the wreck in '96 with the Amtrak train.....very tragic.

Not too long ago I was flipping through the tv channels and they said something about still searching for "victims".. Is this true? A day after the crash?

We just got home about an hour ago from vacation in DC. We were on the blue line yesterday when this happen. All they said was expect major delays on red line-didn't find out until we got back to hotel. We feel so bad-9 people was the latest update. May God be with their families.

This story has my heart aching, my former boss Maj Gen Wherely and his wife Ann were two of the victims killed in this horrific accident. My prayers and thoughts go out to the Wherely family along with my Air National Guard (113th Wing) and National Guard Bureau family....

I don't believe that speed was the factor. They were on the same track going in opposite directions.

Nope, it was a rear ender.
