Two days or One for young kids?

My friend is planning a trip to Universal Studios/Disney the third week in August. She has two kids, ages 8 and 6, and wonders if there is 2 days worth of activities for them to do? They are not thrill-seekers. The 8yr old definitely wants to do the Nickelodean theater (studios?). I've never been to US, so I can't advise. PLEASE HELP!!! The fate of her vacation rests on your advise!

OH Lord, yes, and 2 days may not be enough for the kids......... LOL, my ds who was 3 in aug. LOVED it, he had a ball.

Her kids will be able to do pretty much everything at both parks!!! and there is a lot for them to do. If you go to us/ioa website, a list of rides and attractions will detail it for you.

They will have a great time!!!

My kids were about that age last time we were there and they loved both the parks. They even prefer IOA over Disney!

They will have plenty to do for those two days . Our boys had four days and wanted to return for the fifth day on our 5 day passes. Mom vetoed them and ended her vacation at the beach as planned- I know Bad Mom!

Our 8 year old is VERY timid- he is even frightened of elevators (lifts) but had a ball at the parks. He rode everything except for the Hulk and Duling Dragons. We explained - in great detail over and over and over... - all the aspects of each ride- he talked of nothing else for weeks before we went . It worked miracles- he wanted to ride everything because he felt in control since he knew every turn and drop or trick to the rides. He even helped another timid child by telling her all about the Spiderman ride. He didn't trust his roller coaster loving Mom about the rides so we went to the library and read travel books about the park.

He is driving me crazy to go again!
