Two Days Left on Four Day Park Hopper

We purchased our tickets on line back around Presidents Day. We used two days, and are going back. Has anyone upgraded tickets recently? I am trying to get an idea how much it will cost to add two more days for each of us.

I've never heard of adding days to an existing Park Hopper. You might want to buy a new 4 day hopper and save your old hopper for a future trip. Or use up your old park hopper, and then 2 of the days on the new one. Either way, you'll end up with 2 days on a park hopper. You might be able to find a 3 day hopper somewhere, but there's little chance that you'll return again for only 1 day. You could always buy one day-one park tickets for two of your days when you'll spend all day in the same park. Then you can do your park hopping on two other days.

Swilphil, what they do is Guest Relations will sell a new 4 day hopper and credit 2 days back so they will exchange the current tickets they have for a new pass and only pay for the additional days.

DanaHesson, I don't know what the price difference is, I just wanted to clarify the other post

Thanks for the help. I knew that they would let you add days. I didnt realize that what they were doing was crediting days. I was expecting to have to pay the difference between what I paid, and a Six day pass.. .

Keep in mind that all ticket upgrade/credit transactions done at Guest Relations will incur the gate price on the new ticket. That means you will be paying the difference between the advance purchase price you paid when you got the original ticket and the gate price you will pay for the new one.

I have a similar type of question... We went over the weekend to exchange our park hoppers that have 5 remaining days plus 4 options towards new annual passes. We were told that we could NOT do this, that our park hoppers were purchased last November, so if we paid the 123.00 towards the new annual pass, that the annual pass would expire next month. Similarly if we were to try & do this in December, the park hoppers would have no value at all towards an annual pass purchase. I always thought they would just apply the credit of the park hopper days, but I guess I was mistaken?

Anyone ever encounter this???

Did you ask to upgrade to an AP? If you did, then the CM was correct. Upgrades (where you apply the entire dollar amount of the old ticket towards the AP) can only be done within 7 days of first use. Don't know where the CM came up with the paying $123 and the AP would expire next month since it could not be backdated after the 7 days but hey, all CM's aren't always up to speed with how to do things.

I assume you are talking about partially used tickets with unused park days remaining. You need to ask to apply the dollar value of those unused admissions towards the AP. You are not doing an upgrade. There is a big difference in Disneyspeak. This transaction can be done anytime - even years after the ticket was purchased. If you encountered a CM who said this couldn't be done, ask for his/her supervisor or just move on to another Guest Relations location to do it.

Keep in mind that you will get zero credit for those unused plus options. Turning four in means you've given away about $130 in water park admissions for nothing.

You could purchase one new four day hopper and the other person could use the two hoppers with two days each on them.

Yes, we did exactly what Bildmouse did on our recent trip. We had 2 old park hoppers with 2 days each on them. They looked different from the new 4 day park hopper we bought in advance at the Disney Store, so we had no trouble telling them apart.

I had considered the possibility of this. But because the park rules are so adamant against it, I was afraid to. So one of us could use the two "old" ones, and the other could get a whole new ticket? Would it save money to go this route? Has anyone tried to do this and run into problems??

It would save you money because you would only be purchasing one new pass and not adding the additional admission charges to the two old ones.

The biggest thing that worries me is that last time my ticket got demagnatized and we had to go to guest relations. I am afraid that it will happen again and they will say that I cant use the ticket because it was originally my husbands, or vice versa. If that happened i would just

Dana, there is no way that anyone at WDW knows whose park hoppers is whose. There are no names on the tickets.

Don't worry - I just did something similar in September:

My mother and I purchased 2 4-day park hoppers at AAA well in advance of our trip. In April, I had a chance to go to Disney when I was in the area for a company trip. I purchased a third 4-day hopper at AAA, and one of my coworkers used 2 days on one pass, and I used 2 days on another. I was able to use all 4 remaining days when I returned in September without any issues.
