Hi there,

I will be visiting DL for the first time with my 5 and 8 year olds on January 30 and 31. I have a 3 day park hopper, so access to Magic Morning on the Thursday (31st). Some people have suggested that I forget the magic morning and go to DL and the Wednesday and DCA on the Thursday because the crowds will be better.

Anyone have some advice for us?

Thanks!

With a park hopper you can easily go back and forth as much as you want (and the kids can stand walking). Thursday morning isn't that early so I would suggest going to MM anyway to do some of the fantasyland rides that you didn't get to on your first day. When it gets close to normal opening head over to DCA to get that early morning low crowd time there. Keep in mind what rides or shows the kids are interested in and you might find you spend more time at DL anyway. Mid morning is also a great time to be on main street/ BVS as there are usually characters and more shows happening.

I'll actually be at MM on the 31st, so this is partially based on my current plan for the day. Have fun!!

Interested in what people would suggest if we have non park hopper tickets for those days? We'll be there that same week too - was planning on doing magic morning the Thursday and DCA Wednesday. (And DL again Friday for small world being back and potentially fireworks with Mickey's Mix Magic?) Hopefully bc it's off season, things won't be too out of hand.

Wednesday mornings are the best at Disneyland if you are not interested in Fantasyland and want to spend till noon in the ROA area. Magic morning is a more efficient way of knocking out Fantasyland for it has a high ratio of traditional first ride draw for many families regardless of the day of the week. Magic morning also puts you in place for repeating attractions with fastpass in Tomorrowland. Thursday morning at DCA puts you in a better plan of frequent boarding of RSR, where as a Wednesday at DCA will put you an hour behind hotel guests.
