Two CrAzY Pirates & Dibs 'n Dabs! Mother/Daughter Trip! LOTS of PICS too! *COMPLETED*

Part 6: IT'S TIME FOR THE PIRATES TO PARTY!

We passed Merlin's School of Wizardry on the way to Fantasyland and I thought the set-up was so cute! I saw the show going on a couple of hours later and it looked like a lot of fun! :wizard:

n25002324_31120449_2982.jpg

Our first stop was Toontown! I wanted to make sure and see Mickey & Minnie first! First stop was Minnie's house! ::MinnieMo

n25002324_31120451_3702.jpg

I felt pretty rushed the entire night because there was just so much to do in such a short period of time! Minnie's house was empty inside, which was a first! We walked through pretty quickly, but Mickey decided he wanted a picture in Minnie's sewing room.

n25002324_31120453_4350.jpg

I also noticed a Mickey, Goofy, and Donald pumpkin on Minnie's front porch. A very cute touch!

We got into Minnie's backyard and there was a line, but not too bad. I figured it would take maybe around 15mins. It was then my turn to see Minnie! I love her costume! Her silver shoes were adorable!

n25002324_31120452_5013.jpg

n25002324_31146249_9509.jpg

I also got my photopass card for the event and was hoping to pick up maybe one photo, so I can use the 50% off deal. I'm usally not to into photopass when I can take the photo by myself for free, but I might as well take advantage of the 50% off! :thumbsup2

Next stop was Mickey's house! It was pretty much the same situation over there and the line was even a little shorter than Minnie's line. I love looking at Mickey's garden and it was the first time my Mom had ever seen it! We had been in line for about a minute and Mickey had to go on a cheese break! :rotfl: Mickey blew everyone in line kisses and outlined a heart in the air for us. He was in a very sweet mood this evening! :mickeyjum It's when we were just standing there that we realized how humid it was outside! I could feel my hair beginning to frizz...haha! We waited about 4mins and Mickey returned to his backyard from the Judge's Tent in the back. He was greeted with an applause!

We waited about another 10mins and it was my turn to see Mickey! He loved pirate Pal Mickey! We posed for the picture my Mom was taking and then for the photopass photo.

n25002324_31120456_3500.jpg

Well, there was a problem with the camera! We stood there for about a minute and nothing...haha! Mickey started to scratch his head and we literally kept standing there while the photopass guy messed with his camera. Mickey got bored and took my Pal Mickey and started playing with him! :rotfl2:

n25002324_31143879_2183.jpg

Finally, he got the camera to work! I told Mickey thank you for being patient and he put his hands on his hips and shook his head! :lmao:

We then decided to head down to the Alice & Mad Hatter's Treat Party! I figured there would be a lot of characters down that way! We weren't concerned with getting any candy, but I did want to meet as many characters as possible!

We first ran into the Mad Hatter! He was great and too funny! I wished him a Happy Un-Halloween! He replied, it is a very Happy Un-Halloween! I just thought of that one on the spot! :rotfl:

n25002324_31120457_841.jpg

I then saw the White Rabbit! He was so cute! He grabbed Mickey and gave him a big hug!

n25002324_31120459_406.jpg

I was then disgusted because I saw the Queen of Hearts! Who can stand that woman?! :rotfl2: She has such a bad attitude and is so repulsive! :lmao:

n25002324_31120460_6740.jpg

I told her that she better do some thing about that ugly mole on her face and that I think that she needed it removed...haha! :lmao: That made her very angry, but I was sure to put her in her place! You don't mess with a pirate! pirate:

Great Report!!!
There were a bunch of things we didn't get to do, simple things, like your trip to Downtown Disney & Goofy Candy Co. When I show my DH your photos of the candy store, he's gonna be so upset we didn't stop there before leaving!
Great photos and I'm glad you had a special weekend with your mom

Great photos and I'm glad you had a special weekend with your mom

I hope your DH doesn't get too upset! :goodvibes I always like to stop at Downtown Disney to do my shopping and I saw the Goofy's Glaciers last time we were there. I knew I had to get one this trip! The candy all looked so good, but I didn't get to try any. I was so full after that ice cream! :teeth:

I did have a wonderful trip with my Mom! We've gone to WDW a couple times by ourselves and just love it! Our favorite thing was the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian...it was so much fun! A great mother and daughter thing to do! I can't wait to post those pictures! :cheer2:

Great trip report! I went to the link you have on your signature and your pics are so cute! :)

Arrrr! pirate: Bare with me! I have written this part of the TR twice already today and it has been deleted both times by my computer! I'm getting quite annoyed and I'm hoping it will cooperate this time! :badpc:

Part 6: IT'S TIME FOR THE PIRATES TO PARTY!
Continued...

Alice & Mad Hater's Treat Trail exited into Tomorrowland, so it was time to go on Space Mountain! This is still one of the best rides; the classics are my favorites! It is usually our first stop when we enter the MK! We got to skip a lot of people in line because we were a party of two and we were needed to fill up the back of the space ship. I love it when that happens! :yay: We were glad we got to sit in the back too because it is the most bumpy, which we like! I also like the small net in the cars by your seats to hold your items because it holds Pal Mickey perfectly! It is the only ride where Mickey has his own seat! That's why it is also his favorite ride! :mickeyjum The CM's noticed him in the bag and I got some giggles! :teeth:

We did a lot of of walking during the trip because we kept having to go back and forth, so we wouldn't miss any MNSSHP activities or any of our favorite rides.

I wanted to go check out the Get Up and Boo-gie Dance Party at Ariel's Grotto because we weren't in time for Stitch's Cosmic Dance Party, so it was back to Fantasyland!

I loved the Dance Party idea and enjoyed watching Chip & Dale out there dancing with all the kids! They started to play the Macarena, so it was time for us to go! :lmao:

n25002324_31120463_7777.jpg

n25002324_31120464_8129.jpg

We checked our watches and it was almost time for the Villian's Mix & Mingle Show at the Castle. We made our way back down to the Castle with about 4mins to spare. It wasn't too crowded, so we were able to get pretty close. My favorite Disney villain, Maleficent, was the first to appear on stage and she was the host of the event! :maleficen

n25002324_31120466_8831.jpg

She was then joined by dancers wearing black and red that had a dance sequence to perform!  I enjoyed the music and I loved it when the rest of the Disney Villains appeared on stage! I just thought it was funny to see all the Villains dancing together. I really enjoyed Jafar's moves! :lmao:

They were also paired up in couples, Captain Hook & the Queen of Hearts, Jafar & Cruella Devil, and Frollo & Maleficent. It was great seeing them dance together and Jafar was obviously getting on Cruella's last nerve! :rotfl2: She had to keep slapping him around and walking away from him.

n25002324_31120468_9487.jpg

The show ended with a few small fireworks, but no one realized it was really over because it was a pretty quick show. We all stood there for a minute and then we guessed it was time to go!

My Mom and I made our way down Mainstreet to grab bottles of water before Hallowishes began in the next few minutes.

Great trip report and I love your pictures!! I would love to do a mother/daughter trip with my mom one day, so cute! Sounds like you and your mom had a really nice time...looking forward to hearing more about your trip!!

Oh, and what is a LGMH?

Part 7: HALLOWISHES!

We walked down Mainstreet and checked out the shops along the way. I made sure to show my Mom my favorite window displays! They're just beautiful! princess:

n25002324_31120473_6598.jpg

n25002324_31120475_2075.jpg

n25002324_31120476_9962.jpg

My camera batteries then decided to die! Luckily, we were near the Kodak store! Guess who we spotted on our way in!? GOOFY! :goofy: There were only about 4 people in line to see Goofy, so I took off into the Kodak shop first to find batteries. I had to get 4 batteries for $15.00! That's what I get for not being prepared, I guess!

It took us a few minutes to get the package of batteries open and then we were on our way! I ran to get in line to see Goofy! It was the shortest line all night! Only 3 people! I guess a lot of people don't realize Goofy is all the way at the front of the park. He was in his Goofy Candy Co. outfit too!

It was my turn and I got up there to see Goofy. He was the only one not thrilled to see my Pal Mickey. I think he was jealous! He pointed to Pal Micey and shrugged his shouldes ( :confused3 .) I told him I was sorry, but they didn't sell a Pal Goofy. I told him that he should talk to Disney about it. :lmao:

Goofy shook his head ::yes:: and then took my hand to give it a kiss. I guess he was over being upset with me. :goodvibes

You can also see my LGMH tied to my Pirate & Skull bag! :thumbsup2 I'm wearing it with pride!
n25002324_31120469_486.jpg

The clock began to chime and we head the announcer over the loud speakers! Everyone had to get to an area because they would be turning the lights down very low over the MK for Hallowishes! My Mom and I booked it back down Mainstreet!

We got about half way there and the fireworks began! It did get really dark, but we continued our way in the crowd and around everyone, so we could get a closer spot. We made sure to try and stay together because it was pretty crowded and too dark to really see where you were going. Luckily, we know the MK pretty well and know about all the tracks on Mainstreet, so we wouldn't fall and hurt ourselves.

We found an open spot right where we wanted, so we had a great view of the entire Castle. I like to be able to see it all and I also knew there would be more fireworks going off than usual! :cheer2:

I just love Hallowishes! It was the best fireworks show I have ever seen! I love the music and the entire villains theme!

A door bell would ring and that meant one of the Disney Villains had rung the door bell of the Caslte. Then, you'd hear that villain speaking over the lound speakers and see the Disney villain's shadow casted onto the Castle. The villain's theme song would also begin to play! It's hard to explain, but it was really neat! I love it! pixiedust: There were fireworks that looked like Jack O' Lanterns and smiley faces too! :)

They also had Oogie Boogie from the "Nightmare Before Christmas" ring the door bell and I just love the music from the movie! "There's trouble close at hand. You'd better pay attention now cause I'm the Boogie Man!" Love it!

Hallowishes ended with a huge finale! They had spinning fireworks actually go off on Cinderella's Castle! It is the first time I have ever seen fireworks on the Castle! It was truly magical! :wizard:

n25002324_31120478_1941.jpg

n25002324_31120479_2279.jpg

The Hallowishes finale was the biggest spectacle I have ever seen! The fireworks lit up the entire MK! It was amazing to see! :hyper: Everyone gave a big round of applause as smoke filled the MK!

Oh, and what is a LGMH?

Thank you! :goodvibes I've got lots more to write and lots more pictures to post! :teeth: My Mom and I had a magical time and I hope we can do it again soon! :goodvibes

Oh, and LGMH stand for "Lime Green Mickey Head." It's pretty much the DIS'ers symbol and you can wear them or hang them up in your room window to show that you are a DIS'er!

It's a way to meet and find fellow DIS'ers! You can see my LGMH in my room windows in the photos at the beginning of my TR and you can see a LGMH hanging from my bag in the picture with Goofy in my last TR post! :thumbsup2

Part 8: The Happiest Place on Earth?

We had a little time before we needed to find a spot for the parade, so we decided to book it over to Adventureland. A long line had gathered to meet the characters and go trick-or-treating because the fireworks had just ended, so we weren't sure we were going to have enough time before the parade. We got in line and then the CM's told everyone to go this way for "just candy" and this way to meet the characters. Well, we stayed in the line to meet the characters, but it turned out that all the people in the "just candy" line ended up skipping everyone in line for the characters once they were in the building. It really slowed down the line and was very unfair to all of us waiting patiently in the correct line to meet the characters. We were disappointed in the CM's and that they didn't put a stop to this. Everyone should have just stayed in line, so there was no skipping and jumping in line. :sad2:

Since, the lines were so backed up I only got to meet one character, King Louie! I had to miss out on meeting Timon, Tarzan, Jane & Terk. I did run into Jane on our way out and she told us to have a wonderful time at the parade!

n25002324_31120483_2976.jpg

It was at this point that we began to have many unpleasant experiences with fellow guests.

My Mom and I love Dole Whips and had to make sure to get one before the end of the night. We decided to go get Dole Whips and then find a spot to wait for the parade.

Of course, there was only one line open at the Dole Whip Hut and it was pretty long. Everyone was waiting patiently and then they finally decided to open another window. Some guy had the nerve to jump up to the window and skip everyone waiting patiently in line! :furious: We were all furious and couldn't believe the nerve of people! It mad us even more angry that the CM took his order! It just makes me so sad that people act like this, especially at the Happiest Place on Earth! I turned to the rude guest and gave him the stare down followed by, "Welcome to the happiest place on Earth and thank you for making my trip so magical." He quickly looked away and I just shook my head in disappointment. :sad2:

Well, we had horrible service getting our Dole Whips and the CM's were just rude! My Mom was dissappointed as well because she remembers a time when no one with that kind of attitude would be hired and working at the Magic Kingdom.

We were happy to get our favorite treats! I got a pineapple Dole Whip and a cup of pineapple juice! :bitelip: I was dying of thirst and gulped that down before we finished paying. My Mom got a Dole Whip float with pineapple Dole Whip!

It was melting fast, so I didn't get to take a picture until I had eaten half of it!
n25002324_31120485_5.jpg

We found one of the last good spots for the parade over in Liberty Square and had more interactions with rude guests! I had a woman with two children almost try to take my spot and sit on me as I was taking a seat next to my Mom! :confused3 I seriously just don't understand people sometimes!

Well, we took a seat and enjoyed our Dole Whips and just couldn't get over all the rude behavior at the Magic Kingdom! I know I'm always my happiest and most generous when I'm at the Happiest Place on Earth, but whatever! :lmao:

We had a family of four come sit behind us. The daughter was about 8 and their son was around 5, I would say. I had a feeling there was going to be trouble after what we had just experienced earlier. Oh, and there was! :furious:

First, four dead men made their way over right in front of us! My Mom and I were so happy because we are never in the right spot! :teeth: The men began to tell us the story of the headless horseman through song! :rolleyes1 They were great and very fun to watch! They told a few jokes too and we really enjoyed it! :thumbsup2

n25002324_31120486_3479.jpg

n25002324_31120487_3885.jpg

n25002324_31120490_2136.jpg

I told my Mom that the Headless Horseman would be riding soon! We both stood up, as did everyone else because it is impossible to really see all of the parade or take any photos if you're sitting down during a parade. Well, as soon as we stood up all we heard was moaning and groaning behind us from the 8-year old girl and her mother. Oh, here we go!

The Headless Horseman was awesome and such a sight to see! :hyper:
n25002324_31120527_204.jpg

We then heard the Mother begin her rant, "Some people are so rude...blah, blah, blah!"

Are you serious!? :furious: We're rude because we got here on time to get a good spot and now we're enjoying the parade we paid to see!? :furious:

The little girl then pushed herself and her younger brother up between my Mom and I! We heard the mother, "Can you see!? Can you see!?" :sad2:

I'm glad they cared that maybe my Mom and I would like to enjoy the parade together!! We now couldn't even talk to one another without squishing next to the two children and speaking loudly right over their heads! :sad2:

My Mom and I have a huge problem with this because we've been going to WDW my entire life, since my Mom was pregnant with me! I went to WDW when I was 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc and my parents never pushed us in front of anyone for any reason! My parents would never have expected anyone to move or make way for us and no one ever gave my brother and I that special treatment! It's just really rude to me that just because they have younger children they couldn't bother to understand that this was a special time for my Mom and I to enjoy together during our first MNSSHP! Maybe that mother will understand one day when she is there with her 23-year old daughter and they are trying to enjoy a special moment watching a parade at WDW together! :sad2:

Well, that all occured during the entire parade, so I'll get back to the fun and happy moments in the next installment! :lmao:

I'm just loving your TR Fairy Tale Bride! I totally feel for you about the rudeness that can occur before the parades etc. I was shocked when we went the last time when people refused to let a pregnant couple with two little kids through so the pregnant woman could get to a washroom. The woman was almost in tears and those around me kept saying "no way she's just trying to butt in front". They had to abandon the stroller (balloon and all) and headed in the other direction. It seemed pretty clear to me that the situation was urgent.

What I find extra annoying is when parents who are in the first row of the crowd put their kids on their shoulders making it just impossible for anyone else to see. I understand that everyone is excited, and everyone wants to see, but we should have some courtesy for each other shouldn't we? It just leads to everything escalating. It was so bad that when DF and I go back for our Disneymoon we've made a pact to avoid all parades. I expect we'll continue to do that until the parades change or until we have kids.

We are the same way and ALWAYS skip the parades. I've probably actually only seen four Disney parades, which is rare considering how many trips we have taken to WDW. We just can't stand the crowds and the rudeness of people. I've seen Spectromagic twice and it was wonderful because the park was not crowded and we could sit by ourselves and enjoy our time. No people behind or in front of us! :teeth: I did deal with the crowds back in 1998 on Christmas day to enjoy the Christmas parade. I remember it being a hectic experience! It was also my Mom and I there at that time and she couldn't stand it! We had to manage with the crowd and rude guests for the Halloween parade because it's special and some thing not to be missed. I would gladly choose to avoid all of the rude behavior from fellow guests! I guess it's some thing you have to learn to deal with to enjoy the magic of Disney! :lmao:

I'm glad you're enjoying my first TR! I'll be writing more tonight after I get back from seeing "Nightmare Before Christmas" in 3-D! Very excited! :hmghost:

Hi Everyone! :wave2:

Just wanted to say that I added a new Photo Pass picture to Part 6 of the TR! I just got it in the mail yesterday and scanned it in! It's of me & Mickey at the party!

Enjoy! :goodvibes

Part 9: Mickey's "Boo to You" Parade!

Let the parade begin!

We heard the "Boo to You" music playing, so we knew the parade would quickly be approaching!

Our highlight of this trip was going to be seeing Captain Jack Sparrow! We couldn't wait to see him in the parade and in the updated Pirates of the Caribbean ride!

YO HO! YO HO!

We knew Jack Sparrow was making his way! We were very close and he was high on top of the mountain, so it was difficult to see him. My Mom and I shouted "Jack! Jack! We love you!" :rotfl2:

n25002324_31120968_1703.jpg

The best part of the parade, in my opinion, was the Haunted Mansion! :hmghost: I loved the Hitchhiking Ghosts dancing and the grave diggers were great!

I found out about the sightings of the rare characters, Horace and Clarabelle, here on The DIS and I was hoping I'd be able to find them during our trip! Well, I had already seen them once when we first arrived to the MK in front of the Castle and now here they were in the parade! :teeth: I was pretty happy to see them again! I love rare Disney characters!

Horace! :yay:
n25002324_31120977_5334.jpg

Clarabelle was hilarious with her hip-popping dance moves! :rotfl:

Loving your trip report! I JUST got back myself and am determined to write a report myself.

I so feel for you on the parade business. There are SO many people who think that, because they have kids, waiting shouldn't be an issue for them. Like you, my mother and I always waited when I was a child. Teach the kids what waiting and patience is early. Geez.

And that finale was FANTASTIC! On my video, you can hear me going, "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!" I have NEVER seen fireworks like that - even at the MK.

What kind of camera do you have? A lot of my photos turned out blurry at night.

Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it! :cheer2:

I actually dropped my good camera during Fantasmic when we were at WDW this past June for our Disneymoon. It busted! :sad2: I had to replace my camera and didn't have much money to get a good camera at the time. I ended up buying a $100 Kodak camera, which was the cheapest digital I could find at the time. It's a pretty good camera to take every day shots and it did okay in the dark, but it's not great.

After this past trip, I really want to get a new camera after seeing the way my photos came out. Some would be great and others would be horrible! I want a good camera, but I can't spend a lot of money on it. I'm thinking about adding it to my Christmas list! :rotfl:
