Two Castles and a Polynesian Dream (A Wedding & a Disneymoon) Update*Mr & Mrs*

Love the dresses, Stefy...very pretty.

Ah yes...you do love to go the Prime Outlet. How the heck do you get all your purchases home?

Day 4 plans sound perfect (love the Poly).

Thanks :)

Dave is actually the one that cleans up when we go shopping. He seems to get all the deals for the stuff he wants, lucky so and so :teeth:

Hiya ,

I'm finally starting to catch up on the DIS. I think it will take me months though. :rotfl:

Your dresses are very cute. I love them. I think you should wear the second one to maybe your rehearsal dinner. :goodvibes

We are looking forward to day 4 and shopping with you guys. I think you are going to love the junk shops. It's amazing what you can find in those stores. :cutie:

I can't wait! Vacation can't come soon enough for me!!!

Thanks and welcome back, have missed you :)

Am thinking that second dress will be for one of our nice dinners either on the cruise or on land :)

So can't wait for our first day together, gonna be so much fun :)

Love the dresses Stefy - they are great! :thumbsup2

I would wear the second dress with shoes in the colour of one of the butterflies and at a special dinner.

The shopping day plans sound good :)

Love the pic of you at your 'home away from home'. Going to MK on your first day sounds cool.

I have not been to a cinema in Westfield. The last time I went to London was to see baby and Johnny in Dirty Dancing on stage - it was awesome. We also went to Haagen Dazs in Leicester Square and I fell in love with that place!

Thanks :) You should try out Vue Westfield when you're next in London (and get some sneaky shopping in too :teeth: ).

So many updates to catch up on! I'm glad you were able to find some really pretty dresses for Lake Garda. I think someone else posted this and I agree, perhaps try to find a nice pair of sandals that are the color of one of the butterflies. That would be lovely!

Ooh, I really do want to go and see Pirates. Thanks for the review!:thumbsup2

Wow, your day 4 is going to be packed!! I hope you have a wonderful time with Sophia and Joe! You are very brave to head to MK after dinner, I think my tank would definitely be on E at that time!

:goodvibesHi Stefy!
I apologize I am really behind on your PTR. Came back Sunday from a week in WDW and before the trip you know how crazy things are. Got to see some of the "Pixar Weekend", road the new "Star Tours" at least 10 times and it was chilly enough for a sweater at night in FL!! I am going to go get caught up.

Stefy,
I have started back to front to get caught up. I love your dresses and rompers so cute. I love rompers in the summer so easy, as far as shoes for the white dress it is so lovely I would probably wear a simple light colored leather, flat, flip flop.

Your parasailing adventure sounds great, I have been once and enjoyed it quite a bit.
Also very cool you are going to be concierge, worth it just for the perks of early boarding and the cabanna.

I have not seen the new POTC , although I rode the ride the day it opened and there was suppose to be something new and I missed it.

I also think :thumbsup2 for EMH at MK your first day, MK evening EMH are the best.
And your chocolate cake looks soo good, I have to get back to work now I still have some more catching up to do.

Those dresses are adorable! I think the second one would be good for a nice dinner, maybe at a signature restaurant, where you're supposed to be dressed a little nicer! :)

Day 4 plans sound great! :thumbsup2 I can't wait for the day when I can say I'm checking in to the Poly! :lovestruc

I should really check out the outlets in Orlando sometime, everyone goes there and I just never bother!

I love those two dresses Stefy! Excellent choices! :thumbsup2

Thanks Nikki :)

Hopefully we won't be too tired/stuffed after dinner but it would be nice to head over seeing as we are just there :teeth:

Pixar Weekend looked awesome, are you doing a TR as I am so in if you are :teeth:

Thanks :) I am going to be taking something back at the weekend and will look at shoes at the same time. There is this lovely coral pair of shoes I have seen from the same store which I want to check out against the dress.

CC Day is going to be a blast, can't wait for it to get here already :teeth:

Am quite looking forward to doing MK in the evening, don't know how late we'll stay though as we have an 8am rope drop to make the next day.

Can't wait to check into the Poly, really hoping we get the same building as last time (same room would be awesome too).

The outlets are pretty cool and you should maybe find time to check them out on your trip :)

Hi Stefy,
I'm not doing a TR, I am not a very good writer. I can give you a link to my pictures if you like, boring I know.:goodvibes

Hello Everyone :wave2:

How is your weekend going so far? Ours is good. We had a super early/busy day yesterday. A new, well revamped as its not entirely new, Disney Store opened up on Oxford Street yesterday and we attended a little meet arranged by DisneyBrit (not sure if he is on the Dis but he has a UK site dedicated to all things Disney) and he also managed to get a private tour of the store before it opened which was fantastic :cutie:

The original store on Oxford St was great, but was so small and sorely lacking in the Disney magic. We found out last month that the store would be closing and relocating to a store just a few doors down. I told Dave and said we just had to go to opening and check it out as I was sure it would be similar to all the new ones opening up in the US.

I follow DisneyBrit on Twitter and found out that he was organising a meet but that it would be at 7am :scared1: Suffice to say I was not keen on an early morning meet and said to Dave we would just go for 8am (1hr before it opened), thank god we didn't end up doing that (will get into that later). Then a few days ago Dave told me that DisneyBrit had managed to get a private tour for his meet and that the first 11 people to sign up would get to do it. So we decided there and then that it would be a 7am start afterall.

We woke up at 6am and got ready, by 6:30am we out the door and waiting for a bus. We managed to miss one and didn't get the next one until 6:50am, but he was super fast and we made it to the store (with a Starbucks stop along the way) by 7:15am.

Ok will post some pics now, don't want to bore you with too much detail :)

A rare sight to see, Oxford St totally empty!

The store looks pretty amazing from the outside and we were excited to see what it was like inside.

It was freezing cold that morning and I couldn't stop shaking. It was strange being at a Disney event and it not being as friendly as we are used to in Florida. But I guess we Brits are a bit more reserved and it takes alot to get us going (I know it takes me a while, but I am super super shy).

After about 2hrs of waiting in the cold and rain we were ushered over to a roped off area and told our tour would be commencing very soon :yay: Jonathan was our tour guide and was fantastic, very informative and friendly.

These are the trees that change over the seasons and also change when the "Explosion" happens (more on that soon).

207.jpg

This is on the ground floor and lots happens here, silhouettes of the characters appear in the windows.

208.jpg

photo4.jpg

Tink also pops by and throws pixie dust at the castle too.

209.jpg

These change as well and Rapunzel also wraps her hair around the whole of the castle too (although we never saw it).

211.jpg

There are also other little bits that pop up, Tinker Bell and also Buzz Lightyear sometimes show up on the wall columns which is pretty cool. Dave got a video of Tink showering the castle with pixie dust and I think he got the column characters too.

Who do you spy up there in the skyline.

This is the key that opens the Store every morning. If you are the first to the store you get picked to open the store and you are also given a small replica key as a thank you (so have to do that at some point).

photo8.jpg

Plushes galore!
photo5.jpg

How cute is Mickey
photo7.jpg

There was also a Donald one as well, not sure why we didn't get a pic of him :(

photo10.jpg

These mirrors are enchanted and if you take over a wand of a specific Princess it plays a small clip about that Princess.

We actually got to see the "Explosion" which is basically the villains taking over and you have to ring a bell to make them disappear, once that happens a big fanfare happens and fireworks go off in the trees. Pretty cool.

These are in the baby section and I just love them.

After the tour finished we were given a goodie bag with...

Then it was back outside to wait for the official opening ceremony. I am so glad that we made it for the 7am meet up because as soon we got outside the crowds were just manic. Luckily we didn't have to line up with them, we were told we could stay in our little VIP area which was nice of them. Soon it was time for Mickey and Minnie to open the store. Dave caught it on video for you guys :)

Opening Ceremony

We wondered the store to get the items we saw along the way in the tour and chatted a bit with the new friends we had made. Then we went back upstairs afterwards to check out the Ridemakerz. I said to Dave that he could get one if he really wanted too (as he was looking longingly bless him), so off he went to get his bits to build it.

Had to get a pick, just wish it was the real thing ;)

235.jpg

We left the store and went to a few other shops to get some bits and bobs. We also stopped off in Selfridges to pick these little beauties up.

248.jpg

All in all it was a fantastic day and I am glad we went early in the end, as we met some lovely people and hopefully will be meeting them again soon at other events.
Here are a few pics of our purchases. These were given us to in the morning whilst we were waiting which was cool.

We also bought this Disney Store single, with proceeds going to Great Ormond St Childrens Hospital. Must check later to see where it came in the UK Charts.

Thanks for reading, stay tuned for Day 5 details :)

Love the opening of the NEW Disney Store! Thanks for sharing, Stefy! I love the video as well - what a neat idea to do that for us too!

Okay, I'm not caught up - I was sidetracked by the store opening - now going back to read the update on your first days! :thumbsup2

Thanks, it was alot of fun and we got to meet some lovely people.

Of course we had to get a video for you guys and you are most welcome :)

Yippie! All caught up again AND .......

your cruise plans are wonderful! :goodvibes :woohoo: :goodvibes

Love your first day after the cruise - Sophia and Joe are such nice people. We were really lucky meeting them worked out last year!

Cali Grill to start off your vacation - are you copying MY plans? :rotfl2: ;)

As for shopping on your embarkation day - if you mean the shops on the ship - they only open once you are out at sea, sorry.

And if you go to the beach in Cocoa Beach (or whatever it is called) you will NOT be able to see the ship from there. The port is too far back to see it. But you can drive past the ship when they pick you up!

we just got one of those cool new stores near us too and I just love going there, I love when the villains try to take the store!!!
