We are owners at Boardwalk but haven't stayed there yet. We have stayed at Animal Kingdom Jambo twice and Beach club. Earlier this week I booked Boardwalk at 11 months (the week before Memorial Day). Our top choice is to switch to Beach Club at 7 months but if that falls through... Which do you prefer... Boardwalk or Wilderness Lodge (either BRV or CCV)? We know we might not get Wilderness Lodge at 7 months either but availability at BRV seems decent.

The group is my family (2 parents and 2 girls ages 4 and 7) and my sister's family (2 parents and a 1 year old boy). My family will have annual passes but my sister's family will likely only go to the parks 4 days over 7 nights.

Priories are ease of transportation, pool, and quick service options. Theming would also be great.

Thanks.

That's difficult, but with the ages of the children I'd probably lean toward Wilderness Lodge (whichever DVC is available - we like them both). Riding the boat to MK is an attraction in itself for most kids, and it's certainly easy to do. Both pools are lovely, and there are two quick service restaurants - Roaring Fork inside the Lodge and Geyser Point at the lakefront. You'll be riding a bus to the other parks, usually sharing with Contemporary. Plus you can ride the boat to Ft. Wilderness and let the kids enjoy the playground there!

BWV has easy transportation to two parks (walking, boat, or even gondola) but bus to MK and AK. And the quick service dining is outside on the Boardwalk itself so not as convenient as Roaring Fork if it's raining or otherwise bad weather. I do love the Luna Pool at BW - the slide is a lot of fun! - but again I suspect the kids will like the WL pools better.

BWV has been our home for 20+ years, so we would probably stay there - but our kids are grown, and when we (hopefully) have young grandchildren in future I would strongly consider WL.

We prefer BCV and BWV over BRV and CCV. I like the boat to MK from CCV and BRV, but find transportation to the other parks to be quite slow. I love being able to walk to DHS and EP from BCV and BWV and to all of the restaurants and other recreation offerings in the EP resort area.

We own at BWV and love the location. The ease of transportation can’t be beaten. Also, if you have park hoppers, you can easily hop over to Epcot and get fish and chips or eat at France’s quick service. I have done that many times coming back from DHS due to lack of favorable options.

Im just gonna say it --- WL busses are not the best. Im not a complainer, really. But we got to where if we were at Epcot trying to get back there, Id send my son running ahead if we saw the bus because we knew it likely meant waiting for that bus to travel back and forth. And the bus stop was like the very last lot for busses, lol.
Yes, Ive bussed everywhere a lot. No, I never had any issues, and I think AKL bussing is just fine. But if transportation is an issue to Epcot and DHS, then WL is not my first choice. Its beautiful and I loved the resort, but for that, no. At least if youre at BWV you can hop on a ton of busses, boat back, walk , monorail, you've got options.
