Hey-
Try not to feel any way about it.
Coming out of high school, I had my heart set on William & Mary. I got my rejection letter for Early Admission over Thanksgiving break. I got my rejection letter for regular admission on April Fool's Day- a few hours before my Birthday, at that. I told my college counselor that I had gotten the rejection. Becuase it was a boarding school, we had required breakfast and a morning meeting. It's custom to announce the college acceptances at that point. He actually went up and started making the announcemnet until I tugged on his shirt from behind him (I was student body President, so I was required to be at the podium each morning), and had to tell him, "No... really... this isn't a joke.... I didn't get in." everyone figured it was a shoo-in becuase I'd been offered a full scholarship to the #22 public school that year and W&M was #23. I had a feeling in the pit of my stomach after the EA came in that it wasn't going to happen.
From that point on, I have never, ever, ever gotten myself fixated on a school or thought about anything other than putting the strongest application I could in. Good luck and ignore it as best you can (yes, I know how that sounds!)
xoxo
