My boyfriend and I are SO EXCITED to be taking our first trip to WDW in December (well, together at least - I've been about six times total). My question is - what are the best places to hit for two 20-somethings? We'll be there for my birthday, and I was planning to have dinner at California Grill that night, hopefully with some Magic Kingdom fireworks in the background. Any other suggestions? What about swanky lounges, romantic hotspots, fun holiday attractions? I haven't been since I was 15 (and even then, I traveled with my entire family), so any input would definitely be appreciated.

Thanks in advance! I know you guys are the pros at this.

Try the bar at The Wave in the CR - there's a huge bar and then these two really cool circular rooms off to the side with banquet seating all around - the lighting is really intimate - I would definitely call it Swanky! You can hang out in there for hours!

We always do one park half day and then head over to Epcot to drink around the WS for the rest of the day/night. Before we head over, though, our new tradition is to hit the monorail resorts on the way from MK to Epcot and have a drink - The Wave and Tambu Lounge in Poly are both open mid-day. The Territory Lounge in WL doesn't open until 4 p.m. Not sure about the GF lounges.

We also like to leave Epcot and tool around the Boardwalk area. If you're looking for a great meal, Todd English's BlueZoo in The Dolphin is fantastic. Definitely more adult oriented than kid oriented and a great atmosphere and menu.

Lisa, you're a beautiful girl.
But you've posted WAY TOO MUCH personal information about you.
Maybe it's safe to do that around campus but out here in the real world there are too many wacky people. You should not grant so much "access" to your personal life to strangers. I know, none of my business. Just sayin.....

Anyway, if you all are 21+ you may want to check out my Orlando clubbing website at: www.savepleasureisland.blogspot.com Who knows, maybe by the time of your December visit something will be happening again at PI.

Try Jellyrolls over at Boardwalk for fun. It's a dueling pianos bar so on a good night, lots of jokes and good music.

For something a little different and romantic - hit the Polynesian or Grand Floridian to see the Electric Water Pagent. It's a floating neon show set to music that you can watch from either beach. It starts around 9p depending on which resort you are going to watch it from. It's free and when you check in they should be able to give you detailed times.

DH and I are going for his birthday in a few weeks. Some of our favorite places are: California Grill, Jiko, and the Rose & Crown in Epcot. CG is in the Contemporary--our favorite resort and their sushi is awesome! Jiko is an african restaurant at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's best to drive out there because we've found it takes forever on a bus. Rose and Crown is the british pub. They have a great bar!

We've found those places tend to cater to adults and aren't astronomical like Victoria and Alberts.

Don't forget Rix Lounge at the Coronado Springs resort. It's a swanky nightclub. http://www.rixlounge.com/

I would also concur about Jellyrolls. That place is Great!

Don't forget about Downtown Disney. Pleasure Island is closed, but there's still Raglan Road (live music, dancing and great bar), Paradiso 37 (Tequila bar) and T-Rex (Cotton Candy Martinis!!).

For Romance, try a carriage ride (I think they're 'sleigh rides' that time of year) at Ft. Wilderness. Or watch the fireworks from the beach at the Poly.

Me and my boyfriend actually enjoy Artist Point more, because it tends to be quieter. We also love the Wilderness Lodge!

Jellyrolls is fun. The bar at the Wave is really nice too.

I would look into doing the Very Merry Christmas Party. We decided against it because we did the Halloween party, and thought we would be disappointed by the Christmas one, and it was more money. They are a lot of fun though if you have the extra money!

The Electrical Water Pageant is a great idea. We tried to watch it on the beach of the Polynesian (they have hammocks and swings!) but we ended up missing it.

Evening extra magic hours at epcot, it has an older crowd at that time. Try somthing to drink and eat in each country.
