Does anyone have the DVD that you can purchase at the end of the ride in the gift shop? It looks like a regular movie and sells for 22.95 I believe. Wondering if it is worth the money? Whats your thoughts if you bought this DVD? Would it be too scary for a 9 year old?

Could be scary, but not much more than the RIDE is scary.

this movie is fun to watch only because it is filmed in, and involves the tower of terror. the quality of the movie can be summed up in one sentence: steve guttenburg and kirsten dunst are the primary stars. need i say more? in fact, perhaps a nine year old is the perfect viewer for this film. it is almost as scary as gilligan's island.

My DD14 likes it but I think she likes it more because of the ride connection. DS11 and DD9 thought it was good. Haunted Mansion is much scarier.

I have this video, as a mattter of fact I bought it from Amazon.com. I bought it for my DD for her 7th birthday. She did not find it too scary but she is pretty tough.

Kids who know WDW appreciate this movie MUCH more than those who don't. My DD had a friend watch it with her and the friend was bored, but my kids like it. It is much, much cheaper at other places than WDW.
They also show it on Disney Channel every year around Halloween, so perhaps you could wait and "tape" it (do people still tape things?)

Really cute film. Our girls watched it on Disney Channel before we went October of '04. It helped prep them fr the TOT. WE had to buy it later and they watch it along with HM and others to get in the mood for WDW.

It was made to promote the ride several years ago. We like to watch though it is a little cheesy but its fun cause it involves TOT. Good Halloween movie.
