We will be at WDW for our 8 year old twins birthay 7/29/04. Does anybody out there have any good ideas on how to make their day "MORE" special. They are boy / girl twins.:bday:

Sorry - I'm not much help with the birthday plans, but I have b/g twins are 3 1/2. I'm glad to see that someone has made it to 8 - some days I don't think I'll make it!!! ;)

Our neighbors across the street had a party at the local Build-a-Bear place for their 9 year old daughter and it was the talk of the neighborhood. Does Downtown Disney have something like that?

Keep in mind that I was looking at this thread all day and last night thinking and thinking about this. Here is what I came up with.

Which resort will you guys be staying? Maybe you can get some cast members to sing Happy Birthday with you guys to the kids over a cake with candles around the pool? The other children can help sing and eat the cake?

It may not be a "great" idea but it is something I'd aim to make happen for my DD. :) I wish I could have been of more help. Sorry.

We have celebrated a few B'days at Disney. Usually we order a cake in the lobby and it is delivered to the restaurant that we eat dinner at. Disney's cakes are wonderful! They have lots to choose from. We have learned to never have the birthday celebration on the last day of our trip because then most of the cake is wasted. It is much better if the birthday is early in the visit because then you can take the extra back to your room and enjoy it later. This should work great for you because it looks like you are staying at the BWV so you will have a frig.

I have also read that the MK will give you special B'day badges if you check in at Main street. We haven't done this so I don't know the details. I'm sure you could ask about it when you check - in.

PS We have B/B twins that are 6 and DD 11.

We will be staying at the BWV's from July 26 thru August 5th. Yell me about the cakes!

even though i am only 15 i second the birthday badges at mk i got one last year and we ended up haveing a ps at epcot so we went their and had dinner at garden grill and i got a free birthday cake and they all sang happy birthday. It was cool and all the cast members say happy birthday and i have read some cast members at different places give the kids something and one family that their child was celibrating their birthday got choosen to ride in the parade. maybe you guys could even more of a chance since they are twins.

We celebrated our DD 7th & DS 9th B-Day there last year.

Make sure the resort is aware of the twins big day. DD & DS each recieved 5X7 pictures of thier favorite characters in signed cards.
Each park has thier own Birthday pins. It was a thrill for the kids to hear "Happy Birthday" all day from CMs and other Disney guests. CM gave DD a free soda and balloon. DS got a huge beer (empty of course) stien in Germany from a CM.
If your doing character meals make sure they are aware. We did Chef Mickeys for DD and Breakfastasaurus for DS. Both were GREAT!! At each, got big decorated cupcakes and everyone sang Happy Birthday. Some of the characters signed Happy Birthday in thier autograph books.
Also, a CM in a gift shop saw DD birthday pin at a gift shop. CM called DD to the phone & Goofy sang Happy Birthday to her on the other end.
Have a great time!!!

Hi, I was thinking about celebrating my twins birthday when we are there too. They will be 8 on August 30th and We will be in Magic Kingdom on September 20th. I thought that this year we will celebrate it a few weeks later to make it special. Do you think that it would be tacky for it not to be "the actual" day and let them get a sticker to wear? They would LOVE it!
