Good morning ladies! :surfweb:

Thank you all for the Happy Anniversary wishes! :grouphug:

I just pinned down a singing telegram guy to come and give us a show on Sunday at lunch  We are celebrating our anniversary and also the wonderful news that the step parent adoption came through and we are now a lovely, legally bound family. So it's sorta a big one for us. I'm going to try and video it... we'll see!

alices mom, girlii and tofu,

LUCKY DUCKS! All of you living near (and getting free concerts) or going to Disney right now! Have a great time and enjoy a dole whip for me (or other treat of your choosing then post a pic!)! *nostaligic sigh* Have a great time! :mickeybar
Congrats!!!! That's wonderful!

And, yes, I'm lucky to live so close to Disney. I'll be living even closer in August, like down the street!

You guys are so, so sweet! I don't know how to incorporate anything Twi-related but I'm feeling so happy right now! Thanks and we better get back to the program 'for I gets us in trouble for OT violations! Have a great day and a GREAT WEEKEND!

I did something naughty!! I wasn't going to read Wide Awake until after my law school finals (which is only next Tuesday), but it was my last day at my internship and I had NOTHING to do, so I started reading it on my blackberry (this was Wednesday) and I finished it last night (well, what she has posted so far). I was surprised how much I enjoyed it, I had read the first chapter a few weeks ago and just thought it strange and not interesting...I was WRONG!!!! So thanks to everyone who brought it to my attention....now I must get back to studying Bus Org.

Oh, and congrats on your adoption and the anniversaries!!!

yes i was a lucky duck last night. did anyone catch "jimmy kimmel" last night? that was the concert i was at. hollywood blvd. was completely shut down and there were so many people! my friend and i took the subway and we had never seen so many people on the trains before.

However.....when I see Edward....I see James Dean - as a new Twilightaholic I am sure others have seen that too, but I just noticed it last night :confused3

Just ran across this:

It's funny how fame can strike those least likely. The last time I met Robert Pattinson was in late 2004. It was on the set of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, in which he played the murdered Hogwarts pupil Cedric Diggory. A shy, gawky 18-year-old, this boy from Barnes did not seem a star in the making. Nor did he look "exotically beautiful", as The New York Times dubbed him upon viewing his career-making performance as the lovelorn vampire Edward Cullen in the recent teen sensation Twilight.

For his brooding portrayal of Cullen, Pattinson was suddenly hailed as the new James Dean, a risky mantle for any young male actor to inherit (particularly if they're from England). Not that he's done little to dispel this after admitting that he aped the Giant star's vocal patterns to play the part. "Everyone loves a bit of James Dean," he told one reporter, explaining he used the same trick for "chatting up girls". This month's US edition of GQ magazine even has him channelling his inner Dean in a photo shoot that highlights just how gym sessions for Twilight helped sculpt his stubble-clad face.

You can get the rest of the story here.

Okay, sorry I didn't post sooner, but I was off work yesterday and had a couple appointments and I'm getting ready for a garage sale. So, I put it off! I'm so ashamed. :rolleyes1

Anywho, I left work at 3:30 on Wednesday and went to meet the friend who was going with me. We left the southside of Indianapolis at 3:50pm (which was 2:50 Chicago time) to drive into Chicago to see the "How To Be" screening. Nancy didn't know what we were doing, so I told her and she thought it would be pretty cool.

We arrived in Chicago a little over 3 hours later and proceeded to creep along on the Dan Ryan in evening traffic. We found our way to the theatre and were lucky enough to find a parking spot on the street. The theatre is close to Wrigley Field and there was a game, so the neighborhood was busy. We paid the meter and then went to find some dinner.

We ate dinner at D'Agostino's who was having 1/2 price pizza night and then walked 2.5 blocks to the theatre. It wasn't full, so we found a seat and waited.

The movie was very good. It was funny and poignant. Rob was great. The other actors, Johnny & Mike were also very good. After the movie, there was some time for Q&A with the director, composer and Johnny & Mike. The "inevitable" question came up about working with Rob. They all complemented him and Mike, especially, was very funny about how it was to work with such a "hot" guy! :rotfl:

I had purchased the CD and had it with me, so after the Q&A, they went to the lobby for autographs, pictures and more questions. I got autographs from all of them and my friend took pictures. When Oliver, the director, was signing, he asked where to sign it and I said, "anywhere except across Rob's face".

We left Chicago around 11 (Chicago time) and I was home in bed by 4am (Indiana time). It was really fun and something that doesn't happen in Indianapolis on a regular basis.

If you have IFC on Demand, you should check out "How To Be" when it's released next week.

Yes - definitely the hair, but also, the t-shirt with the jacket, the popped collar on his jackets (who pops their collars nowadays?) even the way he stands. The only thing I probably would have changed in his wardrobe would have been his sneakers - he should be wearing boots - Dr. Martens maybe? Yeah, I know, analyzing it too much :rotfl:

from that article i posted before, regarding Little Ashes

According to Pattinson, he sees playing Dali as a turning point in his career. "To not betray or insult someone's memory, it seemed a lot more important than other jobs I've done before," he says. "I definitely felt I had a lot of freedom when I was doing for various reasons." Still, how does he think the Twilight fans will react to his love scenes with Beltran? "I think girls" – at this point he can't stop himself from a smutty chortle – "almost really like watching something like that. From what I've read, people really get excited about that – it sounds really sexy!"

That is wonderfu! Congrats!

I have 'Twilight' on my Ipod, and that just makes it WAY too easy to watch over and over again.

I have commited Ipod abuse.

Me too!

Here's the ET coverage if anyone missed it:

http://www.newmoonmovie.org/2009/04/et-new-moon-exclusive-coverage-your-reactions/

Apparently they'll be airing more over the span of the next few days.

Thanks for the link.

Signs!! It scared me so bad, I think I still have nightmares of the video from the news of the alien walking by the kids party! Ahhh! I jumped out of my seat when I first saw it.

Ack! I am not a violent-movie watcher at all. And Signs almost gave me a heart attack (especially during the birthday party scene)!

Hi all! I've been completely MIA all because of Wide Awake! :headache: It's all your faults...:rotfl: Sigh. I'm lucky I still have a job since I can only get online at work :surfweb:. I've missed you all!

I caught ET last night and was disappointed. The only thing worth while was watching Jacob jump the porch railing - so hot!

By the by - I read the first three in the Darkfever series by Karen Moning- if you like Sookie YOU HAVE TO READ THESE BOOKS. ::yes:: Ok, I'm off my soap box.

anyone seen the pic of the wolf pack? I guess the tattoo is a pack thing they all seem to have it on their right shoulder
wonder where my jacob is?
