I'm re-reading Breaking Dawn again (don't ask how many times) and was wondering... Possible spoiler in white. Highlight to read.

What do you think that Alice saw when she calls Bella? My guess is that she either lost sight of Bella altogether (since she can't see Bella around Renesmee) or saw Edward sitting there in shock unable to move. I'm curious to hear what your theories are.

And thanks to TofuBeast for my Gang ID!

Go ahead Mel, bestow a fitting blue banana tag on me... please.

Ohhh... the pressure is on! I will confir with The Tag/Badge Maker and since she is armed with the proper story I'm sure we will have one for you in a Jiffy!

OME be kind! :lmao:

Great sadness is upon me. I have been asked to send the first two books in the series to a (skeptical) friend in Michigan to borrow. OME I will miss them! :sad2: Here's hoping that at least a newborn will be created.... :sad2:

I feel your pain. I loaned my copy of Twilight to my sister - who has yet to read it :scared1: despite my relentless prodding. Not wanting to discourage her from ever reading it, I had to go buy another copy to ease my distress of not having a copy of the book handy. I sleep better just knowing I can read it if I want to. :lmao:

I'm not good with logic so I can't help you with your theory BUT, I do love your new siggy :)

As for What Alice saw when she calls Bella here is my take on it:
I figured since Alice can't see what the future holds till it is established and decided on by that person who's future she is seeing it took till Bella realized she was pregnant and decided to keep the baby for Alice to see it as her future.

angwill: (highlight to read)

But would she have seen that Bella was pregnant since she could not see Renesmee? After all, Alice tells Jacob that Bella gives her a headache because Renesmee is in the way and she can't properly see her at all until after the birth. I was under the impression she truly had no idea whether or not Bella would live. Although you do have a point. If it was strictly Renesmee, she would have called before Bella even realized what happened. It could be that when Bella decided to keep the baby was when she became blurry to Alice. Or maybe Alice saw the confrontation between Edward and Rosalie.

EB,
The way I understand it is that once a person decides on what they will do about a particular situation is when Alice sees the future conclusion of their decision, which can change when if their decision changes. IE: James changing course and deciding to go to the dance studio is when Alice saw the studio but she did not see Bella there because Bella had not yet decided to go to the studio to meet him. As for what she saw in that incident with Bella I would assume it would be Bella seeing herself pregnant and having the child since that is what she decided to do at that time. I don't think she could see the child since it was not somthing Bella could see at that time. adding that maybe she saw Edwards decision to go to Carlisle and terminate the pregnancy since that is what he decided to do.Ang

Again with the white:

Alice explains to Jacob that she can't see what is happening with Bella and the baby because Bella is wrapped so protectively around the baby that she can't get through. She says that as soon as Bella decided to keep the baby she just "blurred right out of my sight-- scared me to death." I took that to mean, it was then that she called Edward's cell phone. She hadn't been listening or looking for any such thing, but she abruptly had all of Bella's future disappear from her visions. I didn't get the impression that she saw that Bella was pregnant or saw Renesmee or anything-- just that Bella inexplicably disappeared.

I was just at Target and was enjoying some of the old school hot wheels and matchbox cars with my DH. I suddenly look and there was Edward's car in the movie.

matchbox.jpg

.97 cents + tax later it was mine. Plus, the aggravation of my DH asking me just WHY I had to pick that one when I could get a cool old car.

Then the car ride home led to.. "Honey, what is the blue banana gang? Why a BLUE banana? Why a banana? (oh....)"

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

PS I bought the first two books of the Sookie series. Wish me luck. ;)

Oooooh, I want one of these cars! Off to Target! :yay:

And, on the recommendation of all you guys here, I went to Costco and bought the whole set of the Sookie Stackhouse series. I've read one a day and just finished the third one. Pretty good, so far! It's not Twilight... I can't for the life of me see the appeal of Bill, except for the *cough* you know, prowess... he's so two-dimensional. No personality. Sookie has lots of personality, though. Anyway, definitely NC-17. Whoa. :rolleyes1

Thanks for the great BBG card, Tofu!

A Twilight-Inspired Mini-TR

So here is where I celebrated Christmas with my Step family near Coos Bay (the coast of), Oregon. This area is very special to me because it is where I went when I was making a HUGE life change. It's a story that might sound slightly familiar to you guys. I picked-up and left my ex boyfriend and moved from hot, dry, arid, and over-crowded Las Vegas, NV, to start a new life in this cold, dark, green, wet, small town with no job, money, or plan. I took with me only two things: my 1 yr old daughter and my 5 day old daughter. They were interesting times. Ok, enough about me... the point of the story is.. this place is SO Twilight-Y!

Here is the view from the cabin we were all in. My step family own alot of property out here and they have their family reunions out in the woods at this place.

They call this a creek.. I call it a rushing river but that is neither here nor there.
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-16.jpg

Here is the view as taken from the outside crossing a wet, scary bridge.
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-15.jpg

come on Mom.. come with me across the bridge of death
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-14.jpg

Those wet slats of rotted wood should hold you!....it'll be FUN!
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-8.jpg

Seriously, it was terrifying. In the video you can here me screaming

Bailey says, NO WAY
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-10.jpg

You can do it, mom... just put one foot in front of the other
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-12.jpg

pay no attention to that pesky rushing river underneath there.
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampgrou.jpg

Ahhh... what I won't do for my Twi-Dis Buddies. The Official BBG DIS Trip Reporter NEVER TURNS BACK!

There were so many beautiful places to hike. The paths went along the creek and climbed up and down the sides giving way to breathaking views.

we decided to go towards the meadow!
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-7.jpg

I couldn't believe that there was a sign for "The Meadow".. I just loved it! :rotfl:

first we would have to cross a slightly sturdier bridge of death II
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-6.jpg

the moss and the greenery are looking very Twilight-y
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-2.jpg

Do I dazzle you? (I'm trying to recreate the sparkle scene)
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-17.jpg

when my DH goes all Vampire on me
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-3.jpg

we decide we better turn back before things get out of hand :rolleyes1
2008-12-27ChristmasTwilightCampg-1.jpg

There's one of those views I was talking about. What you are seeing above if you look closely is my DH's blue jacket and my DD behind him on the bridge heading back over to the cabin. It was exquisitely beautiful and green. All in all it was an awesome party and an awesome trip. I'm so lucky to have family living in such an awe-inspiring place.

I hope you can all take your own Twi-TR sometime very soon!

Very very cool mini-TR, travelmel!! :goodvibes That place is SO very Forks!

I have to have one of those Volvo's!! :rotfl:

Oh honey, a tuck in was the least of what I was actually thinking. Fear not! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

HA! :lmao:

I was thinking, does Edward sit in the window at night and stare at you while you are sleeping? Pretty cool!!

A girl can only dream.

Although I hope eventually he'd open the window and come on in! :lmao:

Great sadness is upon me. I have been asked to send the first two books in the series to a (skeptical) friend in Michigan to borrow. OME I will miss them! :sad2: Here's hoping that at least a newborn will be created.... :sad2:

I have actually loaned mine out as well, but to my neighbor. So I know where she lives. :lmao: Actually, in all seriouness, I guess you could say I sort of converted her. She'd read the first two, but not the last two, so I loaned them both to her. And she loves the series.

Does that mean I brought someone over?

I also have "twi-moments"

Went to pick up my DD at her friends house and the neighbors curtains were black and had large head shots of hot guys all over them, each in their own little square, and there was a HUGE family crest on the other half :confused3

I was like.... "Is that Jacob Black????"

DH: "Umm.... nope, it's Manchester United."

ME: Hmph. Oopssie :rolleyes1 I guess not everybody would put Edward and the gang up in their front window. Who knew?

:lmao: I see things like that, too. What do you mean that's not related to Twilight? :lmao:

A Blue Banana gang tag would be great!!

"The Blue Banana Gang: They are willing to share Edward with each other, but NO ONE ELSE!!":lmao:

Well, this is a giving bunch.

Bunch.

Of Blue Bananas.

I'm so punny. ;)

My 13 year old looked at me and siad "Mom you're the BELLA SWAN of the Kitchen" LOL

:lmao:

U just HAD to ask. Truth be told I am still in the first 40 pages or so and did not pick it up during my vacation these holidays. And to add insult to injury, the book is now overdue at the library. Gulp.

I need to return the book..pay my fine...and pick it up later. I think I still need more vampire time for now.

I'm dying to know what others thought of The Host. I heard some bad reviews from a couple of friends and haven't picked it up yet.

TravelMel, I love your mini trip report. It is so Twilight-y!! :goodvibes

Thanks for clearing that up. If DS didn't have BD I could have looked up the actual wording instead of trying to remember what I read. :thumbsup2

:lmao::rotfl2: :lmao:
That really had me laughing this very early morning.

You know, every now and then I make a funny.

Not all the time. But every now and then.

And man am I beat. I stayed up a little late last night, and then DS got up early. That's always the way it is, but I still feel a little shell shocked. :lmao:

Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing your corner of the world with us...it's so neat to see it all. Hopefully one day we can all visit and have our own TwiCon. :lmao:

My DS is in preschool two days a week, so he goes back for the first time from his winter break tomorrow. I'm grateful to get back into our routine (because he has SO much energy and really needs the outlet of school) but a little sad that our time at home is done.

Of course, there is summer to look forward to! :goodvibes
