I only started with the old thread on page 246 or so... but I am now on this new thread! Love the name!!

I am about 90 pages now from being done with Eclipse. As we were doing with the old thread, let's all try to be mindful of spoilers.

But I will say that Chapter 20 of Eclipse just about killed me.

I am happy to be in a coven with travelmel, but she doesn't get Edward all to herself!

I'm very excited for Little Ashes. I'm a huge Salvador Dali fan, and so is DBF, so I know I can drag him to that with no complaints.

Hey has anybody bought Esme's cuff bracelet yet? I got mine last week, and it is not very comfortable to wear!

I'm here ladies! I won't be on much this week- all my graduate stuff is due by the end of the week!

I think I need professional help! I have seen the movie 5 times and wanted so bad to go again tonight. I have decided I will go once all my work is turned in as a treat. I swear I will stop at 6. I can do it, right?

On a side note: I have just finished Eclipse for the umpteenth time and am starting Breaking Dawn. I gave my boyfriend one of my extra copies of Twilight, and now he has his mom and sister hooked! I've singlehandedly gotten his whole family addicted.

Someone at work today asked me why I keep reading the books over and over. He is still working on Eclipse, and has been for 2 months. :confused
Silly, silly little man.

I was listening to my Goo Goo Dolls cd today at work, and thought, "Iris! It's the perfect song for Bella and Edward!" ...'cause I'd give up forever to touch you.....I was totally into it and don't remember doing any work related things. Then he sang "and you bleed just to feel you're alive" and I re-thought it. Not such a good idea around Edward.

I think I need therapy. Friends of Stephanie, maybe?

That's on my playlist in my car, and I always think of Twilight when I hear that song. There are several others, but it's been a while since I listened to that playlist so I can't remember what they are.

I'm in the first part of Chapter 20 and was thinking instead of Pachebel's Canon they could play a Trans Siberian Orchestra song called A Day Without Snow (I think that's the title.) It's so beautiful.

I've always owned female dogs and we're thinking about getting another dog soon. Would it be wrong to name a female dog Edward? It's the only name that I keep coming up with for our newest family member.

Don't suggest that we get a male dog. The thing I don't like about them is you can accidently hit their hooha when you are scratching their belly. I just don't want that.

Okay, that post made me laugh. What about one of the female characters? If she is calm and mothering you could go with Esme. If she is spunky you could call her Alice. Or if she is all over the place Renee might be appropriate.

I did not see Esme's wrist cuff, but the only bracelet I will wear from Twilight is Bella's (if I ever get one.) I do have Alice's choker which is gorgeous. I was shopping the other day and a saleslady asked me where I got it and told me it was very pretty, she had no idea what it was or the fact it was only $20!

I was excited for about 1/2 a second, until I realized the hot n' heavy scenes aren't what I um, hoped for. Oh well, I think I saw some potential nakedness, and I can hear him talk in that dreammmmmy accent!

Does anyone her watch True Blood on HBO? Lots of similarities- and Twilight is much better- but it's good as well!

I hope when yo usay you "found a link" that you went through Stephenie's website. In response to the leak she posted a slightly better copy of it.

I read an interview with Stephenie about the whole fiasco and she said that she had no control over the press release and her statement about killing all the Cullens off because she was so mad was taken out of context and sounded much more serious than she meant it.

At this point, I do not believe that she plans to never pick it back up- just that she is taking a hiatus. This may actually prove to be beneficial to the publication of Midnight Sun. On her site she states that when she started writing it, she was not sure the publisher would even be willing to publish it. She knows of only one other book where this has been done, so she didn't know if there would be a market for it. I think this has shown that there is a market, so when she gets back to it the publisher will be more likely to pick it up.

This is why I am not even contemplating a black market DVD even though I will be on tetherhooks until it comes out. I admit that I am ashamed to be a part of the Midnight Sun leak. I should have known better than to download the illegal copy, but I did it anyway. I contributed to this situation. Never again. I refuse to victimize her anymore and be a part of any copyright infringement. It's just not worth it.

Ok, I can't believe I'm saying this. See what y'all have done to me!

In terms of change- I guess since it isn't salive or blood it doesn't go away. But then that begs the question- wouldn't the burning followed by the cold temperatures kill off the little swimmers or severely damage them? I suppose that's something the Stephenie considered- but I doubt she will answer it! I don't suppose the actual act would be a change because they still have physiological responses to stimuli. (when thirsty venom flows like saliva, it seems that they can be aroused in response to a stimulating situation, a physical response similar to shock when in a stressful situation, etc).

As to the second part about it being cold- well, isn't that why the air wasn't on? Also, I would imagine there would be quite a lot of friction. Remember in NM in the sewers when he rubbed her arm to warm her up? Wouldn't it be similar? If I remember right there is a part in one of the books- maybe this book when after lying next to her he makes a comment about his skin warming up in response to the heat radiating from hers.

I just started re reading BD and if I find the part I will post it.
