Glad to see Rob made it on the list of sexiest men. Some of the choices were sorry, JMHO. I was so happy to see my favorite make the list, David Beckham.

For those that don't like Kristen's attitude about the fans and the fame, I read in an article that she did not get into acting because she just wanted to be famous. She really just gave it a try and liked it, so she pursued a career. She is supposedly very shy and doesn't like all the attention. I also read that both her parents are in the business, but not in front of the screen.

Kristen is very shy, she's always very awkward during interviews and such. But from all the fan encounters and one-on-one's I've heard, she's actually a very sweet and down-to-earth person.

Hey, all, we live north of Seattle and we went to the ocean Sunday-Tuesday ... a little getaway without the kids for DH's birthday... went exploring up the coast on Monday, because we hadn't been that way for years, and ended up in Forks. It was pretty fun. The chamber of commerce is all decked out in Twilight merchandise and posters, etc. They give you a map with landmarks on it, like the high school, the hospital, the sports outfitters' store, etc. They have an old red truck out front that is supposed to be Bella's. There's several shops in town with lots of merchandise in them... I got my DD13 a t shirt that said, "Jacob's Beach Barbecue, LaPush, Washington-- Food, fun and werewolf stories! No vampires allowed."

Forks High School (actually Quillayute High school-- they used a different, larger but sort of similar looking one for the movie)

So that was pretty fun! I felt a little silly, so I blamed it on DD13 who was not present, and told myself I was doing it for her... Lies, all lies. I'm just as much a fan. DD13, by the way, was ticked that we'd gone without her. "No way! No fair! I wanna go!"

However, I am NOT allowing her to see the midnight showing on a school night. So we've got our tickets for the 4 p.m. matinee on Friday.

I went to HT today and saw all those things but my wallet wouldn't budge. I really wanted the sweatshirt that said, "Are you afraid" in small print on the backside but it was $45

Rob and Kristen are on Today show right now. Kristen looked very uncomfortable during the interview (the part where it was just her Rob and Meredith in the studio) and said a few things that were very odd, if not almost a bit insulting about Rob. It sounded almost like Rob has a bit of a "thing" for her, and she very obviously does NOT reciprocate.

So very strange. I like her less now. Rob, I like a lot more.

Also, there was a quick sound-bite from Stephenie Meyer about when she wrote the book. She said something about how she had to keep on writing to see how it would end. She wasn't sure as she wrote if Edward would love her or kill her. Therein lies the problem with the first-person way in which she wrote the book (and her subsequent need to write Midnight Sun). Reading Twilight, I NEVER EVER got the impression that Edward was so tortured over his desire to kill her. It never crossed my mind that he might actually kill her. It wasn't until I read the first chapter of MS that she had on the website way before the leak that it finally dawned on me.

In SM's head, during Twilight, the conflict made sense in her mind because SHE knew what was going on in Edward's mind, but the reader does not.

Kristen was just creepy on the Today Show. She's so uncomfortable and wouldn't stop kicking out her leg when she was sitting there. Even when they went outside, she was introverted. If she wants to keep getting movie roles, she has to learn how to play the game of promoting the movie after it is produced.
