Mom: While I'm sure that this is indeed Stephenie Meyer's version (it is hard to imitate another's style for that long), this is only a rough draft. Things can change dramatically from draft to draft, one reason I don't feel guilty reading it. That's why I'm thrilled it was leaked, actually. I'm going to be a middle school language arts teacher, and kids hate to edit their writing. I love that I have a real life example from a popular author to show them.

Go to stepheniemeyer.com and read the outtakes and extras from Twilight and New Moon- you'll see how things can change from draft to draft. All of the outtakes were originally included in the books, but were edited out for various reasons (which she explains).

I'll try to have the page order for Midnight Sun up in an hour or so.

Okay, as promised, here are the out of order pages from the Midnight Sun copy and the place they can be found while reading. I'm going to just print myself out a hard copy and bind it so I don't have to keep flipping back and forth (and I can read it whenever I want).

Chapter 1:
All the pages are in the correct order

Chapter 2: Open Book
Page 25 is on page 51 of Adobe Reader.
Page 26 is on page 52 of Adobe Reader.
Page 27 is on page 25 of Adobe Reader (you'll have to backtrack).
The rest of the pages are in order, but the page numbers will no longer correspond with the Adobe Reader page numbers.

Chpater 3: Phenomenon
Page 43 and 44 are flipped. So 43 is on page 42 of Adobe Reader and page 44 is on page 41 of Adobe Reader.
The rest of the pages are in order.

Chapter 4: Visions
As mentioned earlier, page 25 from chapter 2 is on page 51 of Adobe.
Page 54 and 53 and are switched. Page 54 is on page 53 of Adobe and page 53 is on page 54 of Adobe.
Page 55 and page 56 are switched. Page 55 is on page 56 of Adobe and page 56 is on page 55 of Adobe.
The rest of the pgaes are in order.

Chapter 5: Invitations
Page 77 and 78 are flipped. Page 77 (the last page of this chapter) is on page 78 and page 78 (the first page of the next chatper) is on page 77.

Chapter 6: Blood Type
Aside from the first page being flipped, the rest of the pages are in order and correspond with Adobe's count.

I'll do the second half later. The pages get seriously screwed up in Chapter 7.

Tanya was okay, but I wasn't thrilled with her. I like Emmett much better. I love his irrepressible nature and how he calls Edward "kid". I liked getting to see so much more of Emmett and Jasper than we do in the other books. I also liked knowing what was going on in Edward's mind during some of the more enigmatic parts of Twilight. She says she doesn't plan to write the whole series from Edward's point of view since we know what happens, but I would love to read it. Especially the part of New Moon when he is absent (there is a small taste of that in the extras on her website) and Breaking Dawn would be awesome from his perspective!

I would love to "hear" Eclipse from his point of view(especially the tent scene) and parts of New Moon (especially when he had to leave Bella and be so cold!) but I think the rest of New Moon might be kinda boring, just him in remote parts of the word thinking " I miss Bella, I miss Bella"

I really enjoyed Midnight Sun. It's funny Bella doesn't think she's "beautiful" enough to deserve him and Edward dosen't think he's "good" enough to deserve her yet they see each other as just that, beautiful and good.

It seems very real, it is way too consistant with SM's writing. Also, a bunch of us have downloaded it and no bad reports yet of virus'.

I have to stop in and post. I believe the Midnight Sun download is real. If its not, props to whoever wrote it...its excellent. I'm sitting here, with a big stupid smile on my face in love with monster Edward all over again. I'll post more when I'm done, I've just finished chapter 4.

One thing I noticed in Twilight, was Bella had opened her bedroom window for the first time and thought how odd it was that it had opened so easily. I knew then that Edward must have been coming in that window already (this was before we read that he had ever come in). It was nice to see the story behind that!

I agree. I thought about that already (and almost posted about it). I would love it if she would combine Edward's thoughts in New Moon and Eclipse into one book. I agree that Edward didn't have a big enough part in New Moon to warrant a whole book of his thoughts during that time period.

I caught that too! When I read Twilight the first time and she was surprised that her window opened so easily, I thought that he must have been coming in. I loved reading the confirmation.
