I've read that too. I think the reason they are comparing Stephenie Meyer to J.K. Rowling is because the stories are appealing to SO many different people - different ages, backgrounds, etc. I think one of the main reasons the stories (both HP and the Twilight series) are so great, is because the writers were writing for themselves first. Just my opinion, but there you go.
But, definately read the books! So great.
It's refreshing to have a story that is unique. Of course, these books have sparked great interest in other vampire books, just like HP sparked new interest in wizard/witchcraft stories.
How many guys are reading and liking these books? Anyone here? I ask because I tried to talk my DH into reading them, and he doesn't seem interested (although he was a big HP fan). I am thinking because the main character is a teenage girl that many guys won't read. Is that way off? (I hope so)
