It would only hurt if he bites. But he seems to be more of a nibbler to me.
:lmao: :lmao: It might be worth it!
I've read that too. I think the reason they are comparing Stephenie Meyer to J.K. Rowling is because the stories are appealing to SO many different people - different ages, backgrounds, etc. I think one of the main reasons the stories (both HP and the Twilight series) are so great, is because the writers were writing for themselves first. Just my opinion, but there you go.

But, definately read the books! So great.

It's refreshing to have a story that is unique. Of course, these books have sparked great interest in other vampire books, just like HP sparked new interest in wizard/witchcraft stories.

How many guys are reading and liking these books? Anyone here? I ask because I tried to talk my DH into reading them, and he doesn't seem interested (although he was a big HP fan). I am thinking because the main character is a teenage girl that many guys won't read. Is that way off? (I hope so)

I'm not sure about guys but I can't even get my sister to read it. Apparently she really doesn't like vampire stuff. I don't know what is wrong with that girl. :sad2:

Those are some great photos. I especially love the one where it looks like they are prepping him for a shot and he is holding a can of diet pepsi while they put him in what looks like a harness. The position of his OTHER hand and the look on his face almost screams...watch out for the goods man.

Yeah...watch out for his goods.

Oh yeah...what is up with the eyebrows? Even his stunt double has those thick brows. Tweezers are your best friend man.

Hi Lint!!!!
Whacha doing!
I might've known you'd be a twilight nerd too. ;)

Guys - My friend Ben read them and loved them - cried at all the right parts even - big huge tears dropping on the book.
Of course, he's a severe metrosexual.
And single.
And hot.
Anyone interested?

Yeah. I'll be in Albuquerque for a week for work.
My friend is 31.
And goes to Albuquerque for work on occasion.

Woo hoo! Let me know!
Utahmama can attest to the fact that I'm not (too) scary!

Thanks for the link to Twilight Tuesday!

I'm reading The Host now and I have to say that I really like it so far (about 100 pages in). I would never have picked up something like that before! She's definitely got me trying some different things. I also reserved at the library the first book in Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire series that so many of you recommended. I read an exerpt on Amazon and really liked it. I'm only second in line for that one-if I had tried to reserve any of Stephenie's books, I would have been 10th! Gotta buy those! :worship: My mother is my reading buddy-she heard that Twilight was about vampires and immediately lost interest. :confused3

Debprincess:

Here's what I'm not doing while reading these books :laundy:
