TWILIGHT vampire book!!!!!

I just saw it for the fourth time. Some other things I keep meaning to say but I forget about before I get here:

-The opening shot of Bella just plain sucks. It looks so hokey. Phil's line is also badly delivered.

-Did anybody notice the God-awful hair the waitress at the Bloated Toad (restaurant in Port Angeles) has? It's hideous!

-Also, in all of the shots of them hunting it shows them hunting deer. In the books Edward specifically says that herbivores are the least appealing. Maybe the movie makers thought a deer looks cute and innocent and would be a nice foil to the power of the vampires?

-I did like that they gave Rosalie Alice's line during the baseball game (I can smell her across the field), it underscored the tension nicely. I also liked Carlisle's line about Bella is family and "we protect our family".

-I wonder how they are going to explain the Volturi in the next book? We didn't get any of Carlisle's history, and in the books that provides the background for the Volturi.

-I also wonder why they didn't go into Jazz's gift? They mentioned Edward's, James's, and Alice's, why not Jazz? The guy who played Jazz did a really good job. He is on the fringe, but still has some of the charisma and charm. Really, they cast all the parts well.

Just saw the movie.. They definitely set it up for a sequel IMO! I'm glad I read the books (the first two anyway)... I prefer the books, but enjoyed the movie. Most things were exactly the way I had envisioned them to be.

I had reserved tickets for the film on the Friday it came out and went with friends. It was a very exciting experience! So many Ooohs and Ahhs that I just had a great time.

I just got back from seeing it again. I am sorry, but Edward must alive out there somewhere! I am so loving him!

Watching Rob in Leno right now. He looks like he just rolled out of bed. Hair isn't combed and he hasn't shaved. Ya think he would put more into his public appearances.

And he is trying to flirt with Heidi Klum. Seal is gonna kick his butt.

I was thinking the same thing. The first book kind of sets that up and explains Carlisle's history with them and his whole history in general. I wish they would have added that to the movie, because it does seem like an important factor that goes into New Moon.

I tivo'd Leno but I think Rob looks scuzzy ALL the time. He is sooooooo
unappealing in looks and acting. Kinda like Keanu Reeves but at least Keanu looks like he is clean.

I think that's what I like about him. He is just himself no matter where he goes. He isn't trying to be something he's not. It is weird because I have never liked the scruffy, hair everywhere look before on men. But with him I am all for it! He just does it for me apparently.

Then they flashed to Rob P. smoking a cigarette and drinking in a bar. Well, hello he is 22 and can drink if he wants to. I don't see how that part was news at all.

For me, I believe MJ should be legal. It's hypocritical to legalize liquer and not herb. That's just me, I know this isn't the place for that convo but I could care less that people choses to wind down with natural substances. The fact is, however, that it is illegal and probably shouldn't be flaunted. Plus, she's a little young for EITHER alcohol or any other mind altering substances. It seems an odd choice, IMO.

I'm more irritated about that wife-beater outfit. Blech. lol

haha i meant pipe...I was in a hurry when I wrote it out... had to jump on here when I had the chance because my computer hog daughter was on it all day ...however I have to disagree with you in regards to her age..ALOT of kids by 21 have been drinking and/or are smoking pot or have tried...

I thought it was funny that Heidi scooted away from him when he said he wasn't into personal hygiene. She asked him if he just rolled out of bed or did he WANT his hair to look like that!

I still think he is cute- but he needs a haircut and some styling product, stat! He seems to be a "real guy"- doesn't take himself or the fame thing too seriously.

Both DD talked me into reading Twilight. Just finished it last night. Hated having to put it down. Just started Breaking Dawn. Just got to the sad part. Not happy. Know something good has to happen. Sure hope so soon. Need them back together.
