I've never read them but I'm kind of intrigued. A lot of my friends are starting to read it. The funny thing is when they first started reading them I was asking them all these questions, because I learned so much about it from this board yet I've never even read it. xD "Team Edward or Team Jacob???" they're like, huh?

The way I see it, Twilight is popular because after HP ended last summer, everyone was lost trying to find a new series. We had seen Twilight advertised, but never really thought about it. Then BAM, HP is over and we're stuck. We find it, read the back cover, and we realize that it's a beautiful love story. Then we buy it. Hello new HP.

I could never get into it, and its pretty silly.

shes a bi*ch to jacob in the second book, she cant do a thing without a vamp. or dog there, and shes just plain stupid!!!!!

also, edward isnt that hot in the movie, and hes just to fascinated with bella. no guy is ever like that to a girl, unless theyre a stalker. seriously, he watches her sleep from outside her window, and breaks in. seriously, any guy does that to me, i will "SING" (miss congeniality)

i also feel really sorry for jacob. he sounds like the perfect guy for me. tall, dark and handsome. also, he would probably show me how to have a good time.

i better go-ill get too worked up, and then no one will want to be around me.

I can understand how people don't like them. I mean, they aren't literary works of art or anything. They're just fun books to read. And if you are into them, you get really caught up in the story.

Somebody asked what the appeal of vampyres is.

for me, it's the knowledge base. It's the idea of "What could I do with eternity?". I'd visit all the places I ever want to go, I'd read all the classics and I'd read ancient scrolls because I'd have time to learn the language they're in. It's the appeal of immortality. The fact that so often, they're marketed as "bad boys" and "outcasts"- which suits me perfectly. It's the idea that they're the anti-human.

Yeah. Vampyres are frickin' awesome. And yes, I spell Vampyre the old-school way.

I like Vamps because they are just, well, to me, mysterious. I like the darkness they all have, and the question of forever and what to do with it...Lovely.
