Twilight finale split into two movies

These books, movies and all the stuff that goes with them are making someone a pretty penny so I would say that quite a few someones out there seem to like them....

...yes, but they chose to remain anonymous...

Loved the books. The first movie was a 2nd rate movie. The second movie was a bit better, but I was still disappointed. (I put the blame on the directors and not the actors) But really, how many movies can come close to the awesomeness of a book?

I have high hopes for the 3rd movie. I mean, the newborn fight for instance, you could not 'see' that in the book because the point of view was not at that location but the movie looks like we are going to see the action first hand. Also, I think there will be a back story about how Riley came to be, which was also not in the book. To me, this will add to the story and make it better.

As for the last movie(s), I like instant gratification and all but if it they do a better job with two movies than they would be able to do with the time limitations of one movie, I'm okay with two movies. I'd rather see more than less.

I agree. The other person I feel is perfect for his role is Billy Burke as Charlie.

The one actor I have the most problem with is Robert Pattinson. He is Edward to me. Edward is supposed to be gorgeous and smooth. Pattinson's portrayal is neither.

I liked Breaking Dawn. It is Eclipse that would be my least favorite of the series.

OMG!!! How in the world did I forget Charlie/Billy Burke!?! He is definitely the most perfect for his role! He makes me love Charlie even more. He's been that one person of the series that I felt was the best match, similarly to how I feel Helena Bonham Carter fits as Bellatrix Lestrange and Alan Rickman as Snape in HP. I'll go back and edit that post.

I liked BD also, I liked all of them overall... mostly because of the plot. I don't know if I could ever read them again though. Eclipse is actually my favorite one because I felt like there was more action. New Moon is my least favorite because it really made me dislike Bella. Kristen Stewart brings down my disliking though.

I enjoyed BD, but then, I liked the subtle posturing/maneuvering that made up the big "fight scene". I know some would rather have liked an actual fight, but for me it was perfect.

It is a long book with a lot of twists and turns. And really, it could be two different books: Everything leading up to Renesmee's birth, and the stuff that comes after. There is a natural break there, so I could see why they would do it that way.

It will be a hard book to make into a movie. It's either going to be very good- or completely suck. A lot of the first part is slow and is more character development than action, and that will be hard to bring to the silver screen and still hold the audience.

I like the books. They are good for what they are- a mindless enjoyment. They are not good literature by any means, but who says that every single book out there has to be a classic? I feel Dan Brown's are the same way. They are enjoyable reads (and all have the same plot line, just different details), but they are not good literature. I'm okay with that. Sometimes you just want to relax and have fun.

Is that not the absolute truth!!! (OT again, I know) I just LOVE Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix, she is absolutely PERFECT. Whoever did the casting for HP should really be paid well because they did an absolutely wonderful job.

Back on topic: I am also in agreement with you on favorite books. I loved Eclipse because of the action and I felt the same way about Bella in New Moon (I spent an hour after the movie telling dd that is NOT the way you act over ANY guy, EVER and her rolling her eyes saying "I know Mom!") Now because my favorite character (in the books and movies) is Jacob, I did like New Moon because it brought his character and his relationship with Bella out and there is not so much about Edward (who is my least favorite character).
