Tweeting from the Parks? Sign In! UPDATED 9/24/2013!

I tweeted from July 30-August 6(I know too late sorry.) But I find it quicker to send in a text to my twitter than get on a computer and update my MySpace page and stuff like that. I posted a thread the night before I left that had my Twitter account on it and I invited everybody to follow if they wanted and I got a lot more followers. It just goes to show how Disney brings complete strangers together(kinda like on the DIS.)

Exactly! It's like we are all there with you. :goodvibes

Do you have a trip report?

We went 8/20-8/26 and I tweeted the whole time! Makes other people feel like they are there with you!

Please remind as the trip draws nearer?

Thank you all!!! :grouphug:

I will be tweeting from the 9th of OCT through the 25th. Just as a warning, I will be posting the cities/states we drive through on the way down and back driving from Oklahoma to Orlando so if you have your twitter set up to send a text to your phone when someone your following tweets...you could get tweets late at night on the 9th and 25th. My plan is really to try to describe crowd levels, maybe share a magical moment or 2...and to post wait times as I stand in line (if I have to!) I am hoping most of the tweets will say "walking onto....!

The first week we will be exclusively at WDW, the second week will be a mixture of WDW, US, IOA, and SW. :cool1::rolleyes1

No I didnt write a trip report. I was going to but I just never really got around to it(not that I was that busy. I was just that lazy. lol)

Just an FYI I will start Tweeting tomorrow. Since we are getting in late the only thing we will be doing tomorrow is JellyRolls. Then MNSSHP followed by HHN and F&W. Most of the Tweets will be live video from the parks.

Thanks!

Hi guys. I have just added a few people to follow so dont be alarmed to find a random person following you! My user is http://twitter.com/Soopafly and I have never really used Twitter the same as you guys. I mostly just read other peoples but if I had enough people following mine i would probably post lil bits here and there. My fiance and I are currently planning our trip in September 2010 and will be updating on twitter for sure! Looking forward to reading your live updates!

I won't be there until December 7th, but I will be tweeting if anyone wants to follow me. :) For now, I'll probably just tweet some of my pre-trip stuff.

Alright, I just added everyone in the thread (my Twitter name is scottinwdw). I live-tweeted from WDW from Sept. 6-12, had a great time doing it.

If you're interested, see my recap report with the really cheesy title and lots of pictures in my signature.

Yes, it was great following! :)

I will be following everyone as well... I love reading about everyone's experiences (and dreaming that I was there!).

I live in LA and am going to start a weekly tweet from Disneyland/California Adventure if anyone is interested in following (twitter name kingdomplanner).

Someday, I'll get there but I think I'm going to wait until construction is done.

Thanks all!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

I'll probably be tweeting our trip in November (unless hubby takes the cell phone away :rotfl: ) and my Twitter name is xrae if you want to follow.

My question is this: how do you preserve and/or prolong your battery life while in the parks? I do a lot of Twitter/Facebook updates from NASCAR events and my phone generally runs out of juice well before evening. (At Bristol in August I took my charger along and found a plug in the women's bathroom near our seats, how crazy is that to stand in the bathroom pre-race to charge a phone!? (how bad do you have it?) )

Do you prolific Tweeters carry an extra battery? Use more than one device during the day? Have a portable rapid recharging device? Carry your home charger and hunt for power outlets? I need to know! The battery on my phone doesn't like excessive Tweeting! lolol

How long have you had a phone? If I were you, I'd consider buying a new one. My phone (iPhone) that I've had for about 2 years has no problem holding a charge for at least a couple days. It will definitely last a day of tweeting. I don't know how I'd survive if it didn't.

I guess the first question is what phone do you have? On my iPhone I turned off radios I didn't need (WiFi, Bluetooth) and turned down the brightness on the screen, and my phone lasted the entire day.

I have a T-Mobile Sidekick. The battery life is great if you're on standby or making phone calls or sending a few text messages, but once you start to hit network services like email and internet it takes less than a day to run down the battery. Yes, turning off wireless services does help. But that can be a hassle.
