If you are going in August looks like there are still tweaks being applied to park hours after the Disney EM house debacle of a month or so ago. (mostly additions I think). For instance, the Saturday MK hours have changed. They were...

9-11 with evening EM.

now they are...

9-12 with evening EM.

It looks like they monkeyed some with HS as well. Changes look to be mostly positive.

I had noticed yesterday that Kenny the Pirate had MK open till 12:00 am that night and thought he was in error. Looks like he was ahead of the game.

Whew! You got me nervous there for a minute! I just changed all my park days/ADR/s/FP's earlier this week for the 3rd time and didn't really want to change things again lol. Luckily all is well. Thanks:thumbsup2

Looks like MK is still only open until 11 with EMH until 1 am on Aug 16th when we are there. I'm hoping they add that extra hour because we usually get a lot done on those nights!

Well...I had Aug 12th on my schedule as HS having late EMH until 12am. That is our arrival day and I booked Fantasmic from 9:55-10:15...now it's showing as not having EMH so we likely won't go as we have dinner that night at Raglan Road.

Heya... I grew up in the Hudson Valley. Pine Plains. :)

Those times don't appear to be on the Disney site?
FOr example, Aug 9th shows MK @ 1am.

I noticed that. My understanding is the Disney site is simply not updated with their new hours yet.

We'll see if WDW Prep and Kenny are right.

And there is Robo's calender. Agrees with my post. August 9, 9:00 am to 12:00 am. As of 8:33 am easterm on July 19, the Disney web site still sows 9:00 am to 11:00 pm. Pretty goofy.
Disney has never put a premium on updating its own calendar. It's not at all unusual that the other Web sites/blogs would have updated hours while the Disney site does not.

This is so very frustrating. Disney asks us to schedule ADRs 180 days out. FP+ 60 days out and then a couple weeks before my trip they change EMHs around. First ones were a couple weeks ago and now this. I can't move anything anymore. My ADRs don't have availability to be changed. Same for FP at the times I would need. If they are going to require us to plan so extensively for our trips, they're EMH calendars should not be changing with so little advance notice. I'm fuming right now!

hi from Pleasant Valley!

The initial BOMB was dropped about 45 days or so ago if I recall. There was a wholescale elimination and rearrangement of EMH's by Disney within the 60 day window that REALLY screwed with people's FP+ and Dinner reservations. It realllllly ticked some folks off. Lucky for me, I was able to swap out my Sunday and Saturday reservations without an issue, so I was ok.

At first glance here, the changes seemed minimal... mostly minor additions of time, not eliminations. Are you seeing days that have lost time or EMH?

(...and hi back to all you Hudson Valley folks in here! I used to ride right through Pleasant Valley on my way to DCC.)

The initial BOMB really messed with my schedule. This latest tweaked just piled it on. They moved DHS PM EMH from 8/12 to 8/11. My whole day 8/12 including ADRSs was planned around that. Now I'm stuck as I can't move my ADRs so late in the game and there is no other DHS PM EMH for the 9 days we are there.

I'm really sorry to hear that. It seems unbelievable after the heat they caught for the first round of changes that they would do it again at all within 60 days.

But I guess we have to realize that us planners in here represent a very small fraction of their customer base. The vast majority of Disney guests will go through their whole vacation without realizing any changes were ever made at all.

A shame that they put this system in place that encourages such planning and then can't respect the fact that they are really messing with the very thing they seem to be encouraging.

Amen! That is exactly my point and my frustration. They want us to plan well in advance but then it's all for naught because they keep changing things with very little advance notice. I plan to call and voice my frustration. I know it falls on deaf ears but I still feel the need to express it.

Good luck! Hopefully you get someone who listens. Some CM's are better than others, and some actually do send the complaints up the pipe.

:thumbsup2
