We are driving our TT down to FW this December. Because of the long drive we are looking for a tv/vcr for our truck. It also must be able to play our video games (playstation, game-cube, and x-box). Does anyone have any suggestions on what kind to buy? Do any of you have one you could recommend? Dont want to pay a small fortune, but anything to keep the kids occupied on the long drive is a good thing.

Thanks for any help on this.

I don't know if the one that we have can play the extra games on it (although I assume it can), but we purchased a VCR/TV combo at Sam's for about $110. We bought the 9" and it fits perfectly between the front seats of our vans so the little one can watch from behind. Good luck!

We also bought our at Sams and it works great. Look for one with the speakers on the front so the sound projects toward the back seat. My sister has one with the speaker on the side and it drives her crazy for long drives.

Target has a tv/dvd on clearance this week for 143 - it is 9" - it can also play the video games. I went and picked it up today and it looks nice - you can use it in the house as well and it comes with a bag to hang it between your seats. They are not giving rainchecks though as it is a clearance item.

Our local Target store has the same TV/VCR travel in a Bag by Audiovox that we bought on sale this week for $99 starting today! It has a 4 inch screen. We used it to drive to WDW last year and bought an adapter from radio shack to hook up the X-Box and GameCube to. It worked very well! The adapter(converts AC/DC plug from game to lighter) cost us $45.

whatever you do...don't buy one from multigear!! i posted this earlier as i ordered one online through walmart.com...it was a piece of junk and the write up said it could hook to any game system.....NOPE!! ya had to buy all this extra stuff to do it...then the screen wasn't working right and the only customer service they have was an email addy that gave me a generic response then did not respond at all to subsequent emails....thank goodness i got if from walmart and they easily allowed me to return it!! i ended up buying one from bestbuy.com.....we have a 13 inch tv/vcr combo that we took last year but it was bulky and i got nervous thinking if we got into an accident it would be like a bullet flying around!!! i actually bought a tv/vcr combo w/a 5 inch DETACHABLE screen and a gametogo 5 inch screen for the ps2..this way both screens can be connected simulteanously to either the ps2 or the vcr ...separate screens so they aren't scrunched together trying to watch a movie!! Hopefully less arguments!!

I just looked at the Sunday flier from Target and they have a 9" tv/dvd combo on sale ($143 I think) and it includes a free travel bag. We have a tv/vcr combo with the travel bag. It's great , the bag hooks between the two front seats and keeps the tv from becomming a projectile if you have to stop suddenly. All the models I've seen have the white and yellow plugs in the front for video game hook ups. On the bag we have, the front zip down part is made to support and hold a video game sysytem.

Thanks so much, I will definately check out Sam's, Best Buy, and Target and see which one works for us. I like the idea of the two different screens because my kids hate sitting next to one another!!
