I'm not much of a fan of game shows. I'm at work when Price is Right is on.

Never really watched TPIR, but their blooper reels are amazing. "COME ON DOWN" (if you know, you know)

I used to watch LMAD in the 1960's. I think one thing that I didn't like about either is the values were used for products are "Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price", a price no retailer uses. Also not much value to me since some of the products are not sold in my area. 50+ years of watching LMAD, I know what Creamettes are, but have never seen them in a store.

Now, one of my Fraternity brothers was on LMAD last year.......and the show he was on reran this week according to his Facebook post. He won a "kitchen". A refrigerator, stove and dishwasher. You have no option but to take the prizes, no cash option. The appliance each came independently from the manufacturer, delivered by a freight service on pallets. No installation, LOL. He hired an installer and only then did he discover that the stove was gas, and he has an all electric house, the fridge was bigger than the space in his kitchen for a fridge. So he ended sell those, and ended up with a new dishwasher, and a tax bill!

Yes, it is true that you cannot take the cash value of the prize (unless it IS cash of course). You can decline the prize entirely though and not pay the tax bill. I hear a lot of people take them and sell them, and make a little profit that way.

Definitely Price is Right although I think someone else would be better as the MC compared to D. Carey. He seems to make fun of contestants or tends to exaggerate how funny something is. Show is enjoyable to watch and you can play along with most games. Still amazes me how many who claim they always watch the show seem to have NO idea about how certain games are played. When you have to pick the first 2 and last 2 numbers of the car, there are always 3 choices for the first 2 numbers but most don't seem to realize that. To win the $100,000 prize on Pay the Rent, you do NOT put the smallest priced item in the mailbox. You need to pair that up with some other item so the second to last floor remains less then the single item on the top floor.

Never liked Let's Make a Deal even back when M. Hall was the MC. Most people win nothing and most of the games seem pointless. W. Brady and his 2 sidekicks are just annoying to watch and try to make the show a bad comedy routine about themselves.

Price is Right! Watched it as much as possible, growing up in the 70s/80s, and every once in a while on a weekday morning, we'll have it on. still fun!
The only part I really liked about LMAD was when Monty Hall would walk through the audience at the end and offer people money for weird items they might have in their bags. My mom-bag/purse is so crazy, I could've made so much money
