TV repair advice please!

We have a 27" tv that's about 7 years old. It gets constant use. Lately it's been shutting off by itself and it usually takes a few minutes before it will come back on. I've checked and there's no timer set or any other obvious reason this is happening. It's becoming more frequent and more frustrating to everyone.

Does any of the wise folk here have any idea as to what the problem may be.....and if it's worth fixing.

I was having problems with a TV's power and it was the switch. It just wasn't staying plugged in good.

We have checked the plug but I'll look again to be sure.
