Who's with me this year? It's the 10th anniversary of "Turn off TV week" and my kids do it through the elementary school--it's harder for DH than anyone--he and I have been known to bend the rules for our own benefit but not let the kids watch (I need to see the last 10 min. of the AI "vote off" show, but think I can live without everything else). Even DD#1 who is in jr. high now is being forced to participate (no 7th heaven reruns for a week!) The school district has set up alternative activities for the rare families who don't have stuff going on (practices for soccer and softball/baseball, dance, etc.) such as craft night at Michael's, special night at the library, etc.
Anyone else think they can get through 7 days without the TV?

No American Idol? I don't think I can do it. I'm too hooked.;)

Yikes! I would miss all of my reality tv. My IQ might actually go up a few points!

It's not for me, thanks, but enjoy your week with your family and all the fun activities:D

If my husband would get our stero hooked up, yes I could go without tv for 7 days. As it is I hardly ever watch now, I just turn it on for the noise.

Sorry can't miss all the playoff hockey the tv stays on at my house.

I could do it... the only TV I watch on a regular basis is 5 minutes of the morning news to find out the weather and any traffic troubles. I don't watch but really listen and could just turn the radio on instead to hear the same info... I don't intentionally do it, but there are days I don't watch anything otherwise for days at a time.

can't give up AI and all my reality either(along with my anime)

Im with DSNY FN...Game 7 Boston/Montreal tomorrow. NO way! ;) And not only that but school vacation week? OMG no!:crazy2: ;) :teeth:
