I am curious, so I am asking, do you have a TV in your bedroom?

We do, my parents dont, I wonder if its a generational thing?

I love to fall asleep with the tv on. We have it set on a timer so it goes off on its own after an hour.

okay, here is my story. When my husband and I got married, I said no tv, we had more important things to do in the bedroom:rotfl2: the cable guy loved that and said five years i will be back hooking up a tv.

We moved a few years later and had cable put in all of the bedrooms with a tiny old tv in our bedroom, but none in the kids rooms. still banned, much to their dismay, but we do get to see them and watch tv with them on occasion now, otherwise, they would always be holed up in their rooms. DS was horribly sick with a stomach virus a couple of weeks ago and we hooked up the tiny old tv in his room for the day, since he stated he would probably stay in bed all day - the first time ever. He was miserable and my husband took pity. He thought he hit high cotton. a few months before he had already told DH that they needed to work on me to get him a flat screen for his bedroom. :lmao: He's 7.

The tv will be out in a month or so, just because he is continually sick lately. okay, maybe i have softened up too. Poor DD17:upsidedow

We have a tv in our bedroom, but I don't allow the kids to have tv's in their bedrooms until they are college age. They are free to watch tv in our room, however, if the other tv's are being used by other people or if they just feel like being in there.

TV in our room but not the kids.

We watch the news and then Jays Monologue before bed. But we also have 2 recliners in there ( really big bedroom) so we sit there and relax.

Everyone in my house has a tv in their rooms. The kids contrary to what most people would think don't really watch theirs. They put it on the music channel and fall asleep to that. My mom lives with us and has a tivo and she is in hog heaven. We have an HD LCD tv in our bedroom and sleep with it on though if I fall asleep before my husband he turns it off my news channel and on to some sscary sci fi channel and as soon as he switches it I wake up, go downstairs to the couch and put my news back on.

Yes, we do. I couldn't live w/ out my tv's! We have to have more than 1 so DH and I don't fight over what to watch. We like alot of the same programs, but not all. (And by the end of college basketball season, I am usually getting tired of watching so many games.)

We have 3 tv's and 1 was for the kids, but they only use that for games now. We can generally work it out w/ 2 tv's.

My parents have had one in their bedroom for a very long time. They have a huge bedroom w/ a fireplace, so we frequently watched tv in there when I was a kid.

The kids don't have tv in their room. I'm not really against it, we just don't have a need for it.

I hated the old tv we had b/c it didn't have a remote and you would have to get out of bed to turn it off.:headache:

I do but my Mom doesn't. She can't sleep in bed with the tv on. Found that out when a [former] friend was here and was watching tv at the wee hours of the morning. She got up to chew him out over it... :lmao:

But in the living room, she can doze off with the tv on.... weird. :confused3 :lmao:

My parents do, we dont - I won't allow it. Our schedules are completely different so nobody would ever get to watch it without interrupting the other's sleep anyhow. Besides, the bedroom is for different things... sleeping of course.

We have a small one but it's not hooked up to cable and it's been years since it's been turned on.

We do. I like to go to sleep to it sometimes, especially when home alone. Also its the only tv in the house that I know how to work. It only has one remote. The living room tv is like rocket science!

We have a master suite so the TV is really in the sitting area part of the room but it can be seen from the bed.

Yes, we have one in our bedroom.

I LOVE to fall asleep with the TV on, my DF is strictly against having the TV on at bedtime on work days. We fight about this often. Thankfully, he frequently works midnights, so I can fall asleep as I wish, and he as he wishes.

:happytv:

Yes we do. We actually have 2, one on the bedroom side and one on the sitting room side.

I don't and I won't. In the morning, I listen to news radio for traffic, weather and news stories. In the evenings, I like to talk to DH before going to sleep. If we had a TV in there, it would be on and we would be laying there watching it like zombies. I can't sleep with the TV on anyway.
