I want to buy a TV to keep my children entertained in the car while driving to WDW. However, I want one that can be secured. Does anyone have any recommendations on what type/brand of TV to buy and the best way to secure it.

Thanks!

When we bought our minivan, we had a tv put in the ceiling. Don't know how this would work in a car since the screen hangs down, but they might could install it somewhere. My brother bought a tv/vcr combo that straps around the seats and you can take it out. You might want to try this so you can take it out and leave it in the room?

We do have a van but don't want to spend a fortune buying and installing a TV that hangs. I thought I heard of a bag you could buy to secure a regular 9" tv/vcr combo. Otherwise, we will need to go with one that hangs from the seats.

Thanks again.

We have a mini-van, and I did not want to pay the extra $ for the built-in set, and din't want to hear my kids begging for it every day. So, for around $150 we bought a small TV/VCR combo. It's not secured, but I found a plastic storage box that I now keep between the 2 front seats (to store cords and headphones etc) and we place the unit on top of it. When the armrests of the fron seats are up it fits between then pretty secure. My rule is the TV only comes into the car if we're taking a trip that will be longer than 1 hour each way.
