Hi Where are you all getting tuxes? I looked at Carolyn Allen and al of the shops up here carry Jim's formalwear and they do not carry the vest/ tie that I like. Any sugguestions?

what type of tie and vest are you looking for? there is men's warehouse, and after hours tuxedos

There is one from Jims and it has a black vest with different colors of ties. I am just not sure that I am comfortable with the company they use. I know Jims quality, as I worked at a store that used them for 7 years and I know that there was not another company that compared and we carried Gingiss and Mr. Tuxedo not so good-

They can ship the tuxes to the hotel, has anyone done that before? We can also ship them back that way. Are there any seamstresses avaliable at disney? Just wondering.

chain tux shops are pratically monopolized by one company now so the selections are lacking.
I'd suggest looking harder for local specialty tux stores that sells non-afterhour/gingiss(they're the same co) stuffs. they should carry more selections off catalogues or something that's from brand names.

getting mine at afterhours just cus it's free for me...

We used Carolyn Allen primarily for the convenience of her delivery and pick up and since we were also using her to steam the gowns. I wasn't real impressed with the product for the price personally. Many of our guys' tuxes were missing the "jewelry" which thankfully was okay since dh brought his own lucky ones and bought a set for one of the guys and my father forgot (don't ask) that we had rented him one!

Thanks for letting me know that as far as quality. That is my concern....Jims will ship them to the hotel for any of you who need that.

were using carolyn allens in orlando for the guys tuxedos. the delivary to our room is very convinient, plus its cheaper than renting them up here in illinois & bringing them down to florida.

Just an addition--the quality of the tuxes was fine--they all looked nice, but the jewelry was missing and the timing of delivery wasn't real timely...kind of like "island time"

Twojo- I am in IL also but Southern, the tuxes here are cheaper than that. 99 bucks from Jims formalwear. They will ship them down there for us.
