Tutto Italia temporarily closing?

Does anybody know anything about Tutto Italia temporarily closing for major renovations? When is this happening? I just read it on mouseplanet under park updates

I'm really hoping it's not going to be closed during my trip in Sept! I'd love to try this place!

The rehab of the Italian restaurant in Epcot has been rumored and discussed ever since Alfredo's closed and Tutto Italia opened. It was to be temporary but nothing else has been announced to solidify a date as far as I can find.

If I was a betting woman I would say it won't happen for a while. They can fill the restaurant as it is and money is tight. I hope, for your sake, that I am right!

We were there in April 08 and Oct 08 and both times I asked the manager if they were closing for reno and he said the response to Tutto has been fantastic so they had no plans to change anything at the moment..I hope not because we plan on eating there in Oct!

I know that when they originally opened it was supposed to be on a temporary basis and then they would be closed for major renovations. However, I tend to agree with PNO4TE with the economic conditions and the fact that they are easily packing the restaurant as is, it will be quite a while before they shut it down for renovations.
