Hi! I'm looking for some reviews of tutto italia! We've got an adr booked their for our Nov trip. The food sounds yummy!!! Anyone have any recommendations? Looking at the menu the Sacchetti - (pasta pillows filled with ricotta and mozzarella cheese and pomdoro sauce $25) sounded really great, has anyone had it? Also, what is pomdoro sauce? And I ran across a food review,(from April) not sure where or how I got there, great reviews of the foods they had eaten on their though!, that mentioned having a dish called Tagliatelle, egg noodles with bolognese. What is bolognese, what type of meat is used? The description of the dish, the sauce and the pasta just sounded really delicious and I was hoping they still offered it there but don't see it on the menu listed from july of this year, darn it! Has anyone had this? Does anyone know if they will make this if you request even if not on menu? I remember looking at their menu last time I was in Epcot, and this place smelled heavenly and like you almost couldn't resist eating here! (Except we'd already eaten, lol) So, anybody care to share?

Tutto is FREAKING AMAZING, THE BEST MEAL OF OUR 7 NIGHTS DDxDP.......The Sachetti was how shall I say, yummos! The restaurant is beautiful and the servers are authentic and the service was AMAZING.....I am no food critic but I do know a good restaurant and this was the best italian, Tony's was good but not like Tutto, very authentic :cool1: :thumbsup2 and will be eating DDXDP next Oct and making at least 2 or 3 reservations for Tutto, you will be so happy with the restaurant, BOOK NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PIECE.

WE ate there and my husband had that dish you mentioned and it was wonderful. I had the caprese which was also very good. The service was outstanding and I was very pleased with our meal overall.

Here is our review from April...we loved it so much we are going back next month!

Yours is the review of this restaurant that I read about the dish I was asking about! Btw, you have some really awesome reviews, love reading them!! :thumbsup2 Do you know anymore about the dish? What is bolognese and what kind of meat is in this dish? The stroganoff type sauce you described is what really hooked me, plus the melt in your mouth noodles! Do you think they still make it now, or has it been taken off the menu, anyone know? Also, does anyone think that if I request this dish, even if not officially on the menu, the chef will still make it or don't they do that at all? The dish you had also sounds awesome! Also, do you or anyone know if you are on the DDP(free dining), they bring you the little veggie bowl, and the basket of bread with the basil butter and olive oil that you described in your review, MickeyNicki, or are those things you order separately?

I am booked there already so all set there! But, now you've got me rethinking if I should make another
ADR there, but also have a CR and trying desperately to get one at Le Cellier, and we usually like to wander around the world eating and sharing things. Hmmm... Anyway, Can you describe the Sachetti any more? Is it very cheesy? And, what is pomodoro sauce, tomato sauce or white sauce or what?

Thanks guys! :goodvibes

We LOVE Tutto. Last year I had the lasagna and it was absolutely delicious.:goodvibes We ate there again a few weeks ago and the heat was getting to me so I tried what I thougt was a lighter dish..it was the pasta with a garlic & olive oil sauce with fresh crabmeat on top. It was very good, but I wouldn't get it again. I should have had the lasagna again.
Both my kids adore the pasta with the marinara sauce and DH had the spaghetti and meatballs and he also loved :lovestruc it.
We are definately eating there next trip. :thumbsup2

Funny, I was going to come back and ask if anyone has had the lasagna! So, do you know what meat ragu is? And what is bechamel? Also, I wondered about the crab dish you described, but your description makes me think probably not something I'd want a lot and would wish I'd gotten something else! So, thanks!

I am getting so hungry now!! Ahhh! :goodvibes

Another question! Is all the seating inside or do they also have outdoor seating? If they have both, what do you recommend?

indoor seatings.
as for a review, this past week when i was down there was the only time ive ever eaten there. definantly a much better atmosphere and food then tony's and mama's as i ate at all 3 this trip also.
only had the lasagna but it was pretty good compared to other italian resturants ive been to in the past and from what i saw over at tony's n mama's.
i am adding this to our must go to list for next years dining plan trip.

theres also a few pictures on the last page of the current food pictures thread by a few of us for some references

Your post made me want to read a little more about this restaurant since we haven't eaten here yet, so I went to the Dining menu item at the top of the page. I hate to break this to you, but you may want to check on it. This is something I cut and pasted here from the restaurant page:

"Tutto Italia" is temporary with a flagship restaurant expected to open at this location in the Fall of 2008. (Watch the Rehab schedule for the aniticipated closure during the remodeling.)

I hope this doesn't affect your trip and ADR, but you may want to confirm what exactly is going on.

I am eating at all three restaurants also, and I'm sure this will be the very best one! I will have to find that page with the current food pictures from here!

You know, I just found that about 20 minutes ago and saw that part also. I wondered how current they keep that page. I noticed the menus were from a year ago, so hoped that part was older also! I wonder though, I do have an ADR already so I wonder if they would give one if they were anticipating being closed for that time period? You'd think they'd know by now. It also says they anticipate it being open by Fall 2008 and they haven't started yet, so that schedule seems off a bit. Plus, I thought they changed in the not too distant past, a yr or 2 ago? I wonder how much the food would change then? Hmmm, I don't know, hope they don't mess this up for me, maybe if they are going to do it, they will finish by mid Nov. But, hopefully they'll just hold off! :goodvibes

The bread, dipping oil and veggies are given to everyone, not just DDP

I think now they are pickled veggies instead of the fresh ones that I had back in April, I will let you know in a few weeks when I do another LIVE review (thanks so much for your kind words, glad you liked the reviews).

THe bolognese sauce is typically made with ground beef, veal and sometimes pork. THis was very good but DH thought it would have more of a tomato base instead of a savory one but he enjoyed it all the same.

I have not seen a very current menu but I know they did change it around some. I will try and take pictures of the menu too.

Is this restaurant shutting down for refurbishment, if so when? Thanks

Tutto is Awesome. Great food great CM'S. And a beautiful Atmosphere. We ate outside. :thumbsup2

Everything we had here was AMAZING! I had the pasta with lump crabmeat~ these people know how to cook pasta! Absolutly perfect, DH had the pork dish, wonderful, the breads and pickled veggies that came with were outstanding!

Pomodoro is Italian for tomato. Pomodoro sauce is thicker than marinara sauce. You use fresh chopped tomatoes to make it.

Yay for the bread, it and the basil butter sounded really yummy!! :thumbsup2

Pickled, huh? Wonder if you can get fresh on request? So, is the sauce sort of like a stroganoff in flavor also? I think it sounds great! Maybe, if you are there you could ask if they will ever make it on request? That would be good to know, and great if they would!! Can't wait to see your new reviews! :goodvibes
Btw, when will you be there? We are going Nov 14-23 and can't wait!

I thought maybe that was it, but wasn't positive. Thanks for the answer, sounds yummy! :)

Bechamel is a classic sauce; butter, flour, hot milk and sometimes nutmeg. It's a white sauce used in lasagna. Ragu is a red sauce with meat (usually ground beef, sometimes it has lamb or pork) :)

I think it was more of a stroganoff taste, a lot richer and savory-er than a meat sauce.

We will be there Oct 17-26th. We were supposed to get to WDW around 6pm but DH says he can take the day off so we should arrive around 11am instead which means I need to plan another dinner ! This is gonna be tough! :confused3
