Does anyone know if you can order the Abbondanza dinner served family style at the table, if you are on the DDP 2008? It seems that it is quite a bit more expensive that the regular ala carte menu. I was assuming that you may not be allowed to order this for our table because of the price. Thanks in advance!

Earlier this week, I made an ADR there for July 31...so I'd like to know too.
Thanks!

I just amde an ADR for May 19th, and I'm interested in knowing this too. Anyone eaten there lately?? Good, bad? Pictures of the food???

Someone posted that the family dinner is no longer on the menu.:confused3

Anyway, it was an option for DDP in Oct. 2007.

Thank you for anwering my question. It makes sense that it wouldn't be included now that Appetizers are history.

You might want to ask on the DP forum. Someone might have an answer if it is allowed. I THINK I saw it on the menu last month but I wasn't the least interested in it.

We have dined twice this year so far at Tutto's and I do not recall seeing this. We will be there again in June. I will look again. But I think it has not been offered for months.
Different people keep asking in various threads and I do not recall anyone confirming it is offered any longer.

I had the chicken with mozzarela, tomatoes, and roasted potatoes-absolutely delicous!!

i would eat there in a heartbeat- only on the ddp so I could get the most expensive thing-hehe----had to watch my pennies this trip- friends I was with did not want to do the dp:confused3

Absolutely melt-in-your-mouth incredible! I want the recipe, but can't seem to get it. TI says they're not giving out recipes yet, since they're so new :sad2:

Thank you so much! I am 1/2 italian and make a mean lasagna! I have even had chefs ask me for my recipe!! I will definately give this place a try!!

I ate there during my trip May 3rd-10th and don't think it was on the menu.

I ate dinner there for the first time this past December and thought it was the best meal of my trip (and that incudes the meals I had at Le Cellier and Jiko a few nights later). I had a lemon salmon appetizer, fish with clams, and a delicious ice cream, chocolate, raspberry/strawberry, ginger snap dessert. Service was wonderful and I still dream about the salmon appetizer, fish, and that delicious dessert!

However, I ate there this past trip (on the DxDDP) and was not impressed. I was there for lunch and had planned to order the lamb chops and cheesecake, but neither were on the menu that day. I had the melon/prosciutto ham for an appetizer, don't even remember what I had for an entree, then had a really delicious white cake with ricotto filling, covered with a layer of almond paste and a gooey white frosting. I don't see either my entree or that cake on the AllEars menu. The appetizer was not good (cantaloupe was sliced paper thin, was dried out, and had no flavor at all and the ham was very fatty), the entree again I don't even remember, but that cake was delicious:cloud9: . It was very, very, moist and the waiter warned me it had alcohol in it. That's the only thing he did for me. I was not impressed with my waiter this last trip. He took my order, then disappeared for the rest of the meal. I tried to wave him down several times to get my water glass refilled and he would just look away. He then had the nerve to bring me my bill, just as I was receiving my dessert (from another server, by the way--the same one who brought me my entree, since I hadn't seen my real waiter since I placed my order). As he handed me the bill, (just as I took my first bite of my dessert) he immediately asked me, "How do you plan to pay for the tip, madam?" I was almost speechless. He ignored me the entire meal, wouldn't refill my drink glass, had another server serve my appetizer, entree, and dessert, hands me the bill before I can even start my dessert, never asked me how my meal was, in fact never came to my table from the time he took my order until he delivered my check, then had the nerve to ask about his tip.

Those desserts are so good and my first meal was so good though, that I am giving them another try this Sept and can't wait. If that same server happens to be assigned to my table, I will ask for another server and will let the manager know why!

Wow aubriee, what a difference between visits. But I find this anyplace unfortunately. I don't think I have been to a restaurant at home more than two or three times that I can say was always a great experience...either because of the food or service. Seems as if with large turnovers the service and food quality is very iffy most places within the service industry!
