It really was the best thing I could have done that day. I can't imagine it would have been pretty if I kept walking on my feet.I think that getting off your feet was the best thing that you could have done. Last year we had to rent a wheelchair for my mother after she injured her siatic nerve a few days before we left. We had to drag her practically kicking and screaming into the chair, but she would have never been able to make it through a day without it. So much better to have her with us in the chair than without us.
Looks like you had a wonderful day with your mom.
Once I got over worrying about what others thought I quite enjoyed my scooter! If all my blister prevention doesn't work I will not hesitate to rent a scooter to save my feet in the Fall.LL, I'm so glad you got a scooter! You could enjoy your time with your mom without being miserable.
Neat light fixture pictures that your mom took. I too wonder who told her to take them. It's a mystery.
Yea for pin trading nirvana!!![]()
It was the best decision I could have made that day.I think the scooter was a good idea and definitely needed. You should not have to spend your entire trip that you paid good money for in your room. I never pay attention to the people on scooters, I guess being a nurse I know there are many handicaps that may not can be seen just by looking.
I am glad you let your Mom rent the scooter. Good decision.
I think I am in the minority here (please no flames) but I just was really disappointed with the Nemo show. Guess the movie was just so great that the show for me fell short.
Love the pulled pork at Flame Tree. FOLK is my favorite thing about AK.
I never would have made it. I would have been in a puddle of tears!I hope your feet felt better by the next day. I totally agree with Nemo, it was so fantastic. You never would have made it without the scooter... so you made the right decision.

I'm so glad you went along with your mom and rented the scooter...now you were able to enjoy the park and have a great day at AK!! I love Nemo...and I'm so going to see FOTLK for the first time in Sept LOL!!

Great update!!!
I generally lurk when reading trip reports so I haven't commeted here yet - but I was wondering if you, Jen, play Farkle on Facebook? I'm fairly certain I just played against you a moment ago!![]()
